Banana Boat, Summer Color Self-Tanning Lotion, Deep Dark Color for All Skin Tones, 6 oz

I'm cursed with lots of spider veins on my pale legs and feel very self-conscious about them. Enter this FABULOUS self-tanner that gives me a natural sun-kissed look w/o UV damage, and makes my veins a lot less noticeable. When I first got it, I applied 2 x day for the first 3 days (put on first thing in the morning, let it absorb for about 10 minutes before getting dressed, and repeated in the afternoon), then I put it on daily for the next few days. Now I put it on every other day and it maintains the tan. No orange tones, no streaks. For some reason my feet stay somewhat pale, but it's not a big deal for me. Bonus points for a great price and faint floral scent. Definitely will be buying this again!

This is the first self-tanning lotion I’ve ever used completely — and even ordered a second bottle because I didn’t want to run out! The color goes on smooth and even, and feels incredibly light on the skin. It dries quickly, and once it sets, you can barely feel it. You’ll start seeing results after just one use. My routine is simple: I apply it once a day after my morning shower for the first three days. That gives me the perfect tan that lasts about a week. Then I just repeat the cycle! Once dry, it doesn’t transfer onto clothes or sheets, which is a huge plus. Normally, I can't stand the smell of self-tanners, but this one is different. It does have a scent, but it’s light enough that others don’t notice — and after my evening shower, the smell disappears completely until the next application. Overall, I give this product: 10/10 for color 10/10 for lightweight feel 10/10 for not transferring onto clothing or bedding 8/10 for scent 10/10 for affordability! Highly recommend! —Kathy J

Had a terrible mousse self tanner experience right before buying this. I am olive skinned and got the deep dark, it is not streaky or blotchy like mousse can get. This does take a few applications to really see dark tan (if you have darker skin tone) but I used two days in a row and finally feel glowing tan has arrived. I let dry for about 10 mins before putting clothes on but has not rubbed off onto any clothing or sheets so far, nor does it have a bad self tanner smell, scent is nice and very subtle. Took 1 star off bc it does seem to make the palms of my hands orange even with washing after application. But a great and affordable buy will keep using!!

I don’t write reviews unless a product or company had terrible customer service, or that I truly love the product. I’ve been using at home tanning for years now and recently have been having some major allergic reactions to things so cutting out any items that had my allergens in them. My dermatologist suggested this item and I wish I would’ve known about it years ago. My skin feels SO soft, and healthy and hydrated. It doesn’t have the intense nasty smell that most tanning products do (as in, I am even wearing it while at work right now and don’t have to be afraid that I smell weird). It washes off my hands easy (no weird tan lines) and feels like a soft buttery lotion. You do have to be mindful however that when you put it on, put it everywhere because if you miss a spot, you won’t be able to see it with the white color at first. Within a few hours, it’s a natural pretty looking tan. Not an orange or straight brown color. And it also isn’t too light which I like because I like to be really dark. Anyways, thanks for making this product! I’ll be a devoted customer I guarantee it 😊

This lotion is great. I had no color at all and put the first coat on which I wanted the Dark. It did just that by next morning the color was there. I’m 65 years old, so my skin is not pretty like women in their 20s and 30s, but I was very pleased. I will use it for my cruise this week.

This product works as stated however it will leave you an un-natural orange color if you’re lighter skinned or lack melanin so use a small amount for your entire body. This deep is really suited for deeply melanated people hence the name. Others should try the lighter colors that summer boat has. I gave it 3 stars because it starts separating at the hands fairly quickly which makes me want to take all of the tan off because it’s embarrassing and noticeable. I inserted a picture and it is only day 2. I guess because I wash my hands frequently.
