How low does the lowest grab bar adjust down to?

The grab bar does not adjust up and down. The lowest part of the grab bar sits 33 inches off the floor. This product has been very helpful to my parents. It is very sturdy.

Could I place this by the toilet and use it to pull myself up without it slipping?

I had thought about getting a second pole to use in the bathroom. I already have taller toilets that meet ADA standards for height (approx 18"-19"). An ADA-compliant toilet will be labeled. If you don't, installing a taller toilet may help. If you need more standing assistance & have room, the security pole is great help. But you need an even, stable floor surface for mounting: Don't mount it on a loose bath rug or throw rug. If you have hard surface floor, the pole should NOT be mounted over a tile grout joint. Too uneven. It should make full contact on a DRY tile or other hard surface.  I agree with other users who say this pole needs to be permanently mounted with manufacturer hardware. If you don't have grab bars--all tubs and showers should have them and they must be mounted properly according to mfg's instructions--with the right hardware & placement. I loved the Stander Security Pole but mine was mounted on large tile in my Den. If you have low furniture seats or bed, the pole is also a big help. Our contemporary seating is only 16" high--much too low for easy standing without help for people with weak muscles. I also have found an all-glass corner in my shower that grab bars don't reach--next surgery I'll install a 2nd Stander Security Pole. Shower floors do have a slight slope towards the drain. Once you've installed any handicap aid, it's helpful to have a similar size, able-bodied person test them for location and stability before you use them.

What is the height of the lowest grab bar?  Would it help person get out of bath tub?   Thank you......

The height of the lowest grab bar is going to depend on your ceiling height and how you decide to install it.  The brochures do show the grab bars being used in the bathrooms.  My suggestion, for safety sake, would be to call the manufacturer and have them tell you exactly.  You can google Standers Security Poles for more information and get contact numbers and maybe even the brochure displayed.

can this be installed into a vaulted ceiling, if so how does it connect to the angled ceiling

My father has his attached to a vaulted ceiling...but he did by creating a wedge that sits on the ceiling.  The wedge is attached to the ceiling making it flat so that the top of the pole is not angled.  I think he might have put 2 of these together to get the height???  He has about 8 of these around his house as he's handicapped and they work really well for him to move from his wheelchair to the the sofa or the toilet.
