I picked up the Handcraft Blends Organic Castor Oil (16 fl oz) because castor oil has about a thousand uses and I was curious if it could live up to its reputation. First impression: the bottle is a nice size and the oil itself seems like a good qualit*. It’s scentless, which I appreciate because I don’t always want to smell like a botanical garden. The texture is thick like castor oil should be, and it feels really nice and moisturizing on the skin. I’ve been using it on dry spots, cuticles, and even a little on my hair growth, and it works surprisingly well. It leaves skin feeling soft and hydrated, and a little bit goes a long way. The oil feels clean and smooth, not greasy in a weird way, just the normal rich castor oil texture. For the size of the bottle, it also feels like a good value, since you’ll probably be using it for months unless you’re bathing in it (which I cannot officially recommend). Pros: good quality oil, scentless, very moisturizing, versatile, and a good value for the size. Cons: it’s quite thick, so if you pour too much you may suddenly feel like a glazed donut, and the bottle opening can make it easy to accidentally over-pour. Overall though, it’s a solid castor oil that does exactly what you expect and keeps skin feeling soft and happy

This castor oil is very thick, a little goes a long way. I will definitely buy this brand again. My skin and hair are improving. I was struggling with dry skin issues and my hair was dry, brittle, and frizzy. This castor oil does not make my hair, feel greasy it absorbs in nicely and makes my hair feel silky, smooth, and healthy.

Tried to clear some ivy outside my building, and got a horrid rash. It was Boston ivy, not even poison ivy! I put this lovely, dark oil on the OPEN SORES, and within two days, it was healed. It was also amazing for detangling my hair before dying. (My hair, not me.) Highly recommend. Whoever makes this castor oil puts it in a dark bottle and ships it safely. And of course, we only want dark, cold-pressed ORGANIC oils, right?

I had carpel tunnel surgery on both hands a few months back, and several people suggested castor oil. I mix it with a bit of coconut oil to massage into my hands, and it works really well. It helps with swelling, and reducing scar tissue. It doesn't have a strong smell, and it was a really good price.

Love this castor oil as it's organic and the quality is excellent. When buying oil the aroma is important. The aroma of this oil was fresh and pleasant, not in the least "rancid." It was also smooth on my skin and not sticky. I highly reccomend this product.

I use it as castor oil pack on my stomache before sleep , it works and help with digestive issue.. can feel the differences, bloating also reduced the next day. For hair, it was too thick for me. One bottle can last for ages. Highly recommend it to try.
