Absolutely NOT a toy! Great SUPERVISED trainer.
DOOM here to tell you about these super cool knife trainers! These are great tools to begin safely teaching a child knife safety. Please heed my words that these are absolutely NOT toys. The blade edge, though dull to the touch, is quite capable of cutting with enough pressure. It is also quite stabby with a good thrust. That out of the way, let’s talk about the knives. They are very sturdy, function just like a lock-back with a steel blade would, and are actually quite nice. I bought two of these kits so that I could mix the colors making the blade and lock stand out for easier identification while teaching my daughter. The lock press is very firm, to the point that my daughter was not able to disengage it, but we’ll keep trying. Parents: buy this as a teaching tool for your child, but PLEASE supervise the use. Although advertised as something for kids, this item is very capable of sending somebody’s soul across the rainbow bridge if used improperly whether by accident or with ill intent. This item needs to be treated as a tool for educating/training and respected as a weapon. This knife, ised improperly, could do serious damage to life, limb or eyesight. Please use good judgement and enjoy teaching your kids! DOOM out!

Fun activity and good learning tool
**G10 Kid's Toy Knife Kit - 5 Stars** The G10 Kid’s Toy Knife Kit has been a fantastic activity for my kids, and they absolutely loved putting it together. The assembly was straightforward enough for them to follow, but still engaging enough to keep them interested. It’s a great hands-on project that promotes creativity and learning. One thing that really stood out to me was the quality of the G10 material. Compared to other wood-based kits we’ve used in the past, which often broke after some rough play, the G10 is much sturdier and has held up well. It’s a big improvement, especially for kids who like to play a bit rougher with their toys. I also appreciated that the kit came with spare parts, which is always a nice touch when dealing with small screws and pieces that might get lost. The only minor improvement I’d suggest is adding a thread locker for the screws, as they can loosen over time. However, this was something I could easily fix on my own. Overall, this kit is a great balance of fun, durability, and practicality. I’d highly recommend it to any parents looking for a fun, hands-on project for their kids!

Almost no metal, great knife!
Almost no metal. Just a couple of screws and a little spring bar for the blade lock, possibly undetectable. The g10 blade is sharp enough. My friend really liked mine so I gave it to him and bought myself another one. Only takes 3 minutes to assemble and comes with the screw driver and a little oil for the pivot. Very nice! I am thinking about getting a different color and swapped the blades for a 2 tone look..

Nice knife!
Nice little knife for a 5 year old. It is a little difficult for them to close but all in all a great starter.

Fun for kids
Such a great gift for my sons! They had so much fun building this with their dad. The knife itself looks realistic but isn’t sharp. It’s a comparable size to an adult pocket knife, and locks well. Great value for a knife loving kid!

Perfect starter knife!
Very cute starter knife for a young child. It was fun to put together and teach them about knife safety. Functions great, perfect sharpness (for a child).

Good but fragile
This knife is great for kids learning how to properly use a knife but it breaks apart easily so be careful especially with smaller kids learning.

Good for practicing knife safety
This is a great training knife. Looks very real and can cut some items (like a butter knife can)
