Very solid latch and it works great. Think this latch will last longer then the fence. Only issue is the thickness. You need an 1/2 inch spacing between the 4 x 4 and the fence for the latch to fit. I had to cut my fence post a little to get it to fit.

When you first open the package it looks a bit intimidating, but took less than 5 minutes to install with a pilot sized drill bit and screw driver bit for my cordless hand drill. Hold it against the frame holding the gate. Drill pilot holes using latch as a guide. Screw in 4 self tapping screws which they include. Mounting the striker is equally simple. They even included a couple extra screws for those who drop things. Unlike the cheap, old style latches, this opens and closes smoothly from both sides. Very happy customer!

This gate latch work s just fine and is good deal for the money. The one complaint I have is that the lag screws that came with it are very small and short and need to be longer. They don't seem to match with the holes and are too small

I really like the latch, but it was only on for about 3 or 4 weeks when it came apart. I was able to put it back together, but had I not been able to find all the parts, it would have been a problem.

Strong latch. Installed in minutes. Accessability from both sides. Easy to add a caribiner or lock. We’re very happy with this latch

Absolutely amazing. Solved a weird hinge placement. Fitting was easy and worked first time. Maybe I'm a genius? Inititve to use too - postman and delivery drivers have had no issues. Great latch!

Nice latch. Opens and closes very smoothly with a satisfying click so you know the gate is closed. I just installed so we'll see how it holds up in the weather. The bolts do seem short/weak. They may need replacing at some point.

Overall, really good latch. Only issue is the screws. Specifically, for the strike plate. Needed them to be longer. So I went to Home Hardware to grab 2in length screws and now it works perfect. Used this latch on 2 gates.
