Worked perfectly; vaporizes 22g/hour
Worked perfectly! Notes on my setup: - Ran for 2 hours, no issues - Consumed 22g/hour of water - The "button" on the metal element must point down (toward water source) - Used the included straw in a small bottle with distilled water - Occasionally a drop would condense & obstruct the flow, but always self-cleared in 10-60 seconds

worked great!
This is the only atomizier that I've ever used, so can't really compare to others. However, I needed this for a bird house competition where I wanted to simulate smoke coming from a chimney, and it worked great. Easy to use and set up.

Not worth it
The material is flimsy and breaks easy. It doesnt work at all. No instructions provided.

Emitter can be used to fix a toy train with simulated steam
I needed to fix my grandson’s train that has simulated “steam” engine. This kit has the exact same emitter in the kit as the Hot Bee train. I was able to test bot the old emitter and the new one from this kit to confirm the low steam problem was in the emitter. I swapped it out and now my grandson’s train works like new again!!! P.S. other emitters I found do not look like this one. For the price it was a bargain to get this kit and be able to test everything out.

Initial Impressions are Good
These little boards work out of the box. The switch portion is a little odd however, as it does activate the piezo ultrasonic diffusing, however it seems to latch until it's power cycled? The board is a basic flyback transformer, or 'pulsed power supply'. The 8 pin IC is sending a roughly 50/50 PWM signal @ roughly 500khz to a transistor (possibly mosfet) which switches 5V on/off to the inductor, which boosts 5v to ~24v pulses, which drives the piezo element to vibrate. This vibration 'shakes' the water into fine droplets, which is our diffused water. I see many saying these piezo elements do not last very long. They have very fine pores in the middle which allows water to percolate into the element to get 'shook' apart. The common observation is these pores are easily clogged. I would conjecture the clogging happens from impurities in tap water, and perhaps even oxidization/corrosion. I think it might be worth experimenting with using tap water versus distilled water. Please reply to this review if you have any knowledge on the differences of these variables.

Didn't work.
Did not work ordered another one should be arriving tomorrow. Given the number of people that had issues probably a bad batch. I wasn't able to select one star for some reason.

This works as advertised.
I don't know why people are complaining that this doesn't work. It works perfectly fine right out of the box. You want to have it pressed up against a wet sponge or some other wet substrate. After power up make sure you press the button to turn it on. It produces a lot of atomized water for the size of the unit. If you don't want to have to press the button each time you power it up you can do a solder or wire bridge across the button. That way it will start up as soon as it's powered on.

Easy piece
My set is very crude and yet just with the power supply I jad laying around some hot glue I was able to set my prototype in no time. Just plug everything correctly and boom , that diafrafm is sturdy ,solid, aggressive puts out a nice volume of mist I'm very happy with it

it makes some noise, like a whistling. lots of mist. no specs I just gave it 5v, seems fine. I would be happy with a device of half the strength for my small aquarium. does not come with usb cord.
