Electronics All-in-One For Dummies

I purchased Electronics All‑in‑One For Dummies because I work in the electronics field, specifically testing and tuning, and I wanted to expand my overall knowledge since I work with electronics every day. This book was a great read and very informative. The explanations are clear and easy to understand, even when covering more technical topics. It helped reinforce concepts I already knew while also filling in gaps and providing additional insight. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn more about electronics, whether you’re just starting out or already working in the field.

ok this book is about 2.3in thick but it appears well laid out and will serve my super basic needs nicely. I want to understand basic electronics.

I started at the hobby level and THIS book made so much so clear. I bought one for myself after reading the library copy. I love the breadboard examples that build on each other. A gentle introduction to the unseeable.

Great refresher for an old technician!

Ik ben nog volop bezig met het boek dus misschien verandert mijn mening nog later. Eerste indruk is dat het goed is voor absolute beginners die helemaal geen voorkennis hebben. Het leest vlot. Veel anekdotes van de schrijver die niet veel bijdragen aan je leerproces maar die het lezen van het boek luchtig en ontspannend maken. Er wordt niet teveel wiskundige formules op je afgevuurd en niet heel diep op de onderwerpen ingegaan, eerder oppervlakkig. Leuke projectjes maar de foto’s zijn zwart-wit en slechte kwaliteit, de instructie tekst gaat altijd uit van het materiaal van de schrijver, bv de benummering van zijn breadboard terwijl deze kan afwijken van het jouwe, en dus aan de foto’s heb je ook weinig waardoor je veel tijd verliest met uitzoeken wat er bedoeld wordt. Verder wordt er bv een volledig hoofdstuk gewijd aan een oscilloscoop Terwijl een beginner daar helemaal niet veel aan heeft in deze fase van zijn leerproces. Dus heel veel lezen en weinig praktische kennis vergaren. Beschouw het boek, zoals ik zei, als een eerste kennismaking en beschrijving van electronica en apparatuur. En kijk daarna voor meer diepgang in je volgende cursus

Interesting book. It covers everything from basic, familiar topics to more novel ones in digital electronics and DIY projects.

What an excellent tome for anyone wishing to embark on the Electronics journey, you will learn things about electricity that you never thought possible! Very comprehensive and lucid - and you don't have to read it in any order either, just dip in and find out what you want (although I must admit, I read it cover to cover). An extremely, extremely interesting read for anyone interested in electronics: contains more useful information than books prices way more, and a lot easier to understand
