The series is excellent for children of all ages and entertaining for adults as well. As part of her interest in history our 11-year old daughter has a passion for famous historical characters. She is interested in famous people from all ages and through this gains knowledge about different historical era’s and societies. The American revolution is a recent topic of interest to her which may have to do with a certain musical. So a book in this series about good old Ben Franklin was very welcome. I must say that the range of books and wide selection of topics in this series is great. our daughter has already the books about Leonardo DaVinci, Walt Disney, George Washington and Abraham Lincoln - all brilliant. Her younger brother likes these books as well. Like in most modern cartoon movies, these books are full of moralising themes and the storylines mostly centre around these, the Benjamin Franklin book is no different. Yet the cartoon-style art of this 40-page book is great, every page is a joy, as is the relative simplicity of the storylines that nevertheless perfectly captures the essence of the topic. Review: our home loves the I am series of books, very easy to explain history to young children!!
