These will always be my favorite needles.

I am a major sock knitter. This pack has two sizes of cable length and two length sizes of needle tips. I tried a mixture of the short and longer tips with the short and longer cables. I struggled. I ended up using one short tip and one longer tip on the shorter cable. Works beautifully. Knitting was/is a breeze. For those of you, like me, just can't find a proper easy setting, try using one tip length of each on which ever cable that fits your yarn stretch. I am using a fine size 2 yarn. I cannot say anything negative about these needles. It does take thinking about switching around the pieces to make them work for you. The transition of joint attachment is terrifically smooth with no yarn snagging. I have not experienced loosening of the tip(s) as I work around 64 stitches of my sock pattern. You simply will have a learning curve with finding the tip and cable length that works for you. I love the fixability of the cables. I have a pair of the fixed circular needles (same company) and both compare equally to each other. At age 71, willing to work with a learning curve, you should find this needle set enjoyable.

I hold the shorter tip in my left hand, longer in my right (loosely). No cramped fingers and hands, just speeding knitting with sharp needles. I highly recommend these for sock knitters who hate DPNs and want something faster than magic loop.
