Hole slot is max 1/4" ID. ,not expandable. Sturdy one piece tool ,good gor its 1/4" ID tu turn 1/4" eye screw. Foe 3/8" shank OD, to screw into wood, use 12" long screw driver, dishwasher soap on the threads before screwing eye screw. Predrill hole in wood. Hole size is eyescrew threads ID -1/32", which works best. Go slow. Use digital caliper to measure.

Bought this primarily for my campers stabilizers and works flawlessly. The only issue I have had with it is that it will not lock into my impact as it should and falls out if I am not paying attention.

I got some large eye bolts, and these really help, rather than having to drill a pilot hole and using mole grips or pliers, just stick the appropriate one on the drill/driver and wind them in.Nice easy to use, and come in a nice box to keep them safe. Also a good size and will meet most needs. Good price as well. One bit of advice, dont go too fast, as they can make it fun! Slow and steady..

Overall product looks fine but I bought based on High C Diameter. I have 200 eyebolts to install and thought this would be a handy tool.Problem is the High C measurement is not accurate and I bought the set for the 8mm as my eyebolts are 3.66.8mm High C states 3.7mm - actual is 3.6511mm High C states 5mm - actual is 4.9714mm High C states 6.2mm - actual is 6.1517mm High C states 8.2mm - actual is 8.15I won't bother with the other measurements but they too have been rounded up.
