Eleventh Hour CISSP®: Study Guide Review: Great Reference Book - This book was a great reference tool and also awesome to read as the test time nears. It was about 205 pages not hard to get through and straight to the point. Yes, it is out of date but knew that before buying it. I do wish they would make a 4th edition. Having said that I did pass the CISSP and this book was a nice tool that contributed to that success. I also used the official study guide and the official practice questions book. Good luck to you! Review: Quick guide to jog memory - This is a concise version of all the domains for CISSP exam, important topics are presented in slightly longer than bullets. Written as short and sweet, this book will save you from last minute fatigue and nervousness about the exam. I downloaded the kindle edition just few days back, wish I did that at least few weeks earlier to get most juice out of it. Along with other books on CISSP, including the two from Cybex and Conrad's original boox, helped me to pass the exam in one go under the recently introduced CAT format. The new format is a black box, it will not give you pass/fail scores, nor anyone will tell you how the questions are picked dynamically depending on your response to the previous questions. Although this guide does not cover everything that you would see in the exam, nor the depth of understanding that some topics entail, it can certainly be a companion book when you feel overwhelmed.

Excellent Resource - The Perfect Complement to Other Forms of Preparation
Full disclosure: I am not a technically-minded person by nature and my background is slanted more towards business communication and project management than bit twiddling. Keep that in mind while reading this review. I purchased this book at the recommendation of my CISSP Boot Camp instructor and am glad I did; this is one of the best purchases I've made. Using this book in conjunction with the CISSP Book of Knowledge is what enabled me to pass the CISSP exam. I really doubt I'd have passed if I had used the BoK alone or even if I'd just attended the Boot Camp alone. If you've ever seen the CISSP BoK, you know that reading the entire book is a daunting task. It's extremely long, detailed, and quite verbose. That is to be expected from a BoK on a technical topic like this. Owning one to use as a reference and to fill in any gaps you may find in your other studying is a very good idea. Attending one of the many "Boot Camps" offered by various vendors is also extremely beneficial if you can afford it (or, better yet, if your employer will pay for it!). The Eleventh Hour CISSP, though, was just what I needed to put me over the top. It's the perfect complement to the BoK and Boot Camp. This book is relatively brief, pithy, and direct and it focuses on only those topics that are critical to passing the exam. It's an extremely useful preparation tool and a very good value - I highly recommend this book!

Validates what you should already know
I passed the CISSP exam 12/3/22 and this was part of my study material. This book is THE LAST LINE OF DEFENSE. Yes this is for the previous version of the exam so know that going in but it’s still extremely useful. To sum it up, if ANYTHING in this book catches you off guard, you are not ready for the exam. This is a reference book and is not a primary study source. Worth repeating, if you see something for the first time in this book, you are not ready for the exam. You should know everything in this book before taking it.

An ESSENTIAL for CISSP prep
This is a very useful book I used for my prep before taking the CISSP exam. This was my go to the week before the exam that I took my time reading and took thorough notes from. I would highly recommend this in conjunction with an online class or other CISSP prep materials.

That book is like drinking from a fire hose and honestly if all ...
So everyone speaks the truth about this book. First, I read the Shon Harris book cover to cover all 1200 pages. That book is like drinking from a fire hose and honestly if all the conversational embellishments were taken out, that book would easily shrink to 800 pages. Anyway, if this is your first foray into CISSP read the Shon Harris book or equivalent because there are fundamentals you'll need to know. Now, after you've that book, done the test prep and think you're confident, read this book, take notes in a notebook like it's High School all over again, and summarize what you're reading in this book. This book was outrageous and boiled everything down to the necessity. With a content up for some of the newer CISSP info it could balloon to 300 pages and still remain as accurate and relevant as ever just while covering more bases. Lastly, once you are done reading and writing notes on this book. Pick up the ISC2 test prep question book. Do the questions! What I found primarily was that I needed to slow down, read the question further, and look for the BEST answer. On this exam our own experience in the real world work against us because in some cases we actually do know better. Those were my 3 steps to success, 1) Read the Shon Harris Book. 2) Read this one, write notes and absorb every single word because this book is pure gold. 3) Use the exam prep books like the ISC2 one. Huge piece of advice: It is NOT enough to know why "B" is the correct answer. You need to know why, "A, C,and D" are wrong. Once you start going through the answers in that manner you figure out the thought patterns of these test makers and you know enough now to beat them at their own game.

Excellent supplement at the end
At the end of my CISSP studying I was drained. I already went thru sybex, Cybrary cccure, boot camp, but I knew I had to push for about another 10 days to the finish line. This book was an easy read and helped reinforce key concepts over the last days of my studying. They get right to the point of what could be on the exam and what you’re expected to know. If you don’t have a firm foundation, this book won’t be of much help. But if you’ve exhausted other resources as much as you can, this is the cherry on top.

This book helped me to confirm that i was ready the CISSP exam. It's like a dictionary. You can use this two weeks before the exam.

Touches every domain and can give complete overview of what CISSP all about but won’t be enough to cover exam domains in detail. Page quality is good and I like reading it.
