Delicious Bumhugs, as my family calls them. A taste from my youth.

I love watching BBC channels. On one of the “Father Brown“ murder mysteries they we eating “Humbugs”. I was curious to find out if they were a real thing. They remind me of my grandmother, take me back to my childhood. She always gave us “horehound” candy. This is a familiar flavor.

I absolutely love these candies. I tried a cheaper brand that I could get in bulk but wasn't satisfied at all. The quality is definitely worth the price.

I've had English friends bring these back for me on their periodic trips between England and the US over the past couple of years, after reading about them somewhere and wanting to give them a try. Since the travel ban due to COVID, I had to find another route. This method of procuring is definitely more expensive, but certainly worth it on an occasional basis what with the next-day speed of an international product!

One of the best mints I ever tasted but a bit expensive.

I was introduced to Mint Humbugs while traveling in England - a tasty combination of toffee and mint. These are definitely on the expensive side but I was buying them for a gift so I figured it was worth it. When I weighed the small package and found it underweight (208 g or 7.34 oz. not the 225 g or 7.88 oz. as advertised on Amazon) I was really disappointed. As another reviewer has already noted the package clearly states 200 g. If I buy again I'll definitely be looking for another supplier.

These things are better than crack. There's absolutely no one on earth with the self control to eat just one. The mint flavor is super mild and the chewy center is fantastic. It's like the old tootsie roll pop commercials, they are impossible to suck on without chewing to the center. I only wish there were more!
