Worth every penny- go for it!
Ok its day three, playing with this... And trust me... This is the best compact key board i have come across.... other than this I've experienced M-audio keystation mini32 (worst experience ever) Korg nano key- too impractical (rather I would choose computer keyboard) Kedance midiplus 37 (good but less sensitive keys than expected) So.. My main keyboard for my permanent setup has always been... M-audio {I had keystation 61 es with semi weighted keys, then i upgraded it to m audio axiom 61 black and now i have axiom 61 pro} and they have the best keys in the world i can bet. However, I have never been a fan of features... All of the above 61 keys keyboards I've mentiond, I loved , because of their sophisticated and premium keybeds.. So lets get back to the product I'm reviewing for... Pros 1. It has a good build quality 2. Best keybed (and trust me I am very particular abt this... you wont find any other small sized keyboard with this good key bed... Its a delight to play it... 3. looks nice and handy better than (arturia microlab 25- though i love the fact that it has no control and its is very handy... But its always good to have one extra octave to play ur melody) .. I make music on the go... So this 3 octave is good enough to play...and carry 4. It has after touch... Can you believe it.... I dint know that it had aftertouch keys.. Untill I received and tried it. So ya other than good keys... There's one more thing to brag about.. 5. It has provision for midi 5din connection aswell) Cons- 1. Much costlier than its competitors (however if you want to buy a mini midi controller for your on the go music production needs.. Every penny invested in it, worths- you are not gonna regret it. ) 2. Too many features (would have been amazing... If there was a 32 key option with just good keys, aftertouch pitch bender and modulation) Final verdict - dont look here and there... Dont look for an option.. Just go for it.. I understand its costlier than other keyboards in this range... But feeling this comfort in playing and its flow.... Its just priceless... Its just the perfect. (but if you are ok with 25 keys then go for arturia microlab... Its handy and cute with the same feel)

This is the best small format keyboard I have purchased. I actually use every function in this mini keyboard. The keys feel weird at first as it is not mini keys (kind of reminds me of the Korg Minilogue) but in-between mini and medium sized keys. The ribbon Pitch Bend and Mod Wheels work fine. It has velocity sensitive keys and supports aftertouch. What makes this great is it has a built in sequencer, an arpeggiator, and the best part is the support for MIDI, Sync and CV. If you have older MIDI gear or Modular setup, this can be used for both. Also, while you have a sequence playing from the keyboard, you can send to another device your live playing. I have hooked up an old drum machine with a sync out, connect sync in to the Keystep, have the Keystep play a sequence to the modular and play the Waldorf Pulse 2 via MIDI. That's pretty sweet for something in this price range. Must have for noodling around or for live setup of modular synth and drum machine.

This thing is incredible! The build quality is killer. Thick plastic on a steel plated bottom gives it the feel and weight of high end equipment. The keys legitimately feel like real piano keys and the knobs/buttons have a good feel/resistance. Let me tell you how good it feels going from a 25 to 37 keys. No more fiddling with the octave buttons every time you use it. The height of the keyboard is perfect if you plan to keep it on your desktop too. It has a built in sequencer, arpeggiator, chord progressor and transport controls that works with any DAW. Tons of ports and clock functions! It will connect and play nice with almost anything you throw at it. Also: It has a power switch. Those still exist and I'm here for it. Don't wast your time on those cheapo "mini" keyboards. They feel bad, are too tall to sit on your desk comfortably and don't have the necessary ports should you choose to play with synths, samplers and grooveboxes . Spend the extra pennies to get what you really want.

Brilliant product. Built like a tank and its so intuitive compared to the standard version.
