I installed this rubber strip on the door that encloses the engine compartment of our rough terrain forklift. It is one of those doors that goes over the engine compartment and lifts from horizontal to vertical in order to access the engine. When closed, there was a 1/2" gap between the door (or hood if you prefer) and the chassis. I used self tapping screws and went through the rubber into the hood and secured it into place. I did this 6 weeks ago and barely a drop of rain gets through now. This is good rubber that is not either too soft nor too hard. It is just the right consistency at 1/8" for the job it was intended. This is a good product and I would buy it again.

I used this to seal the inside of my shed doors and installed with a 90-degree bend. Initially it worked great, no more leaks through the doors (hinge side) during rainstorms. Now the rubber is separating at the fold and is allowing water to seep in. Other applications where it is flat it will probably be stellar. Above was my original review, since then, without any further communication on my part the seller reached out and offered a FULL REFUND! Amazing customer service, most other sellers just move on, these people actually care about their customers! 5+ stars for stellar customer service. although this product did not work in my application, i have others that I will purchase more for from them!

Sorry, but I get a kick out of people that complain about the odor. It's rubber, folks! It smells like a truck load of fresh tires! It's NOT Potpourri. If it smelled pleasant, It wouldn't be good rubber, and I wouldn't be using it for projects that I need RUBBER to complete. The roll is true to size - 2" wide by 1/8" thick by 10' long. I needed it to make 2" OD X 1 3/16" ID X 1/8" thick rubber washers on a project and it was perfect for my application. The material is dense and has no voids. Perfect for making spacers / washers. It's non-skid, non-marring and exactly as described.

I put this rubber strip between my truck bed and both the crossover toolbox and headache rack that I mounted on it. I did not want the Aluminum / Steel of the crossover toolbox and headache rack mounted directly to my pickup's paint job. The product has stayed in place and it is still strong and flexible after 6 months. I see no damage to the truck's paint job where this product is protecting it. Would I buy it again? Yes, I already have.
