I was looking for a book for my toddler's birthday party that was about cars, but wasn't full of reds and wasn't disney. It had a cute little story and beautiful illustrations. We used it for a guest book for my son's second birthday...I didn't realize for a while that main car's racing number was two.....too perfect. :)

Race Car Dreams is the perfect bedtime book for your race car fans. My son would have loved this book when he was 3 or 4. It reminds me a lot of Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site, which was one of our favorite bedtime stories 2 years ago. Race car is finished racing and he's tired, so he begins his bedtime routine. He gets washed up, he grabs his wrench (the equivalent of his teddy bear), and he reads himself a bedtime story. It's so sweet, and the illustrations are really fun. The story is written in rhyming statements, and the cadence works pretty well. A few phrases seemed to have one too few syllables, but overall, it's an easy read aloud. I highly recommend it. [...]

We originally bought this book on Kindle, at like 2am out of desperation when our toddler was screaming for a race car book. It was a HUGE hit, it's been her most requested book for a year now. The Kindle format works great on my phone, however, the tiny screen doesn't do the beautiful artwork any justice. This book is cute, and absolutely beautiful. We read it almost nightly. ❤️🏎️
