Excellent. Fast delivery and product as described. A very useful item to have in the event of a power outage or if outdoor camping along with many other uses. Thank you. It would be good if an extra individual satlight or footstrap, etc, could be purchased separately. Having checked, as yet, I cannot find that possibility.🤔

I really wanted to get the gravity light instead but this was all that was available. The Nowlight is a good solution for emergency preparedness or for a remote outpost or permanent off the grid situation. The Light has several charging options and i will go over each of them. Charging option 1. Solar This is by car the easiest way to "Set it and forget it" to charge. The cable is long enough to have the solar panel mounted outside while the light is inside. E.G. in a bedroom/living room with the panel outside on a balcony/windowsill. If you have the technical know-how you could also permanently mount it to a roof or wall if the cable is long enough.I do not recommend this because there is no clear marking showing that this the solar panel is weather sealed.Speaking of the build to the solar panel, there is also two small collapsible feet on the back of the panel that are supposed to help with positioning of the panel. I have never found them to be useful. If rain is coming,i bring the panel inside. In clear and bright conditions,(near the equator)the battery will charge in about a day of exposure to direct sunlight. Your experience may vary significantly. The Biggest drawback to the solar panel is the lack of weatherproofing and this will be useless unless you have ready and constant access to direct sunlight. Charging option 2. USB input The Nowlight comes with a proprietary sized connector that will plug into itself and the other end has a USB-A input end so you can plug it into a Battery pack/portable power source/USB-A wall adapter. in theory, wherever you could plug in a USB-A cable to charge a device, you can plug in this cable to charge your light. To me, this is the most ideal option because solar charging has a long list of complications for my particular situation. I always have tons of battery packs on hand and a virtually endless supply of electricity to keep the light topped up.If you plan on using this light regularly in an urban environment, this will probably also work for you. Charging Option 3. The crank. This is my least favourite and least elegant solution. This part is crucial for anyone who plans on using this primarily by crank. The light has to be mounted firmly to a wall. if the light isn't held securely in place, you will waste your energy and also have no power in the light. To get maximum efficiency ,the cord needs to be pulled straight down, the full length with every pull. The act of manually charging the light is extremely noisy. Hopefully wherever you are doing this, you have no ears to disturb or others to alert of your location. The cord should not be tampered with at all.Do not adjust the length or try to take it off. The instructions are vague and you are better off leaving it on rather then trying to interfere with it and then you have no usable crank. But,if you insist. there is a little notch/groove on the light that you can align with the connectors on the cord to pop it open. Again, i do not recommend opening the cord. Now onto the light build and performance. The light at the highest setting is extra bright. There are lots of modes in between thankfully. This light will perform for whatever indoor or outdoor task you may have. I appreciate the indicator LED that shows how much battery percentage remains in the light. Run times is not something i have tested more than to say ; running it at full power will not give you much time with light. I always try and avoid doing that to save my vision. The cord hanging off the bottom is something that i wish could be tucked away when not in use. E.g. If i was using it in a stationary position most of the time but occasionally wanted to take it off the wall and then place it on a desk or the floor. The cord would be in the way , it would still be able to stand, but it just wouldn't look nice. The manufacturer has addressed this by making the cord removable, but as mentioned previously , that process isn't the easiest. Accessories The Light comes with a secondary light that plugs in to the main unit on either side to allow for more diffused light in a separate area. The secondary light(SatLight) has a generous length that can be adapted depending on needs. Additional Satlights can be added in a daisy-chain sequence providing a nice long string of light. My favourite part of the Satlight is that it can be operated completely independently of the main light through a power ad level adjustment button on the bottom of the dome of the Satlight itself. My particular Satlight does act a little odd sometimes. it may not turn off or on as expected or it may shut off while it is in use. The package also comes with a few screws/anchors and a hook to mount the light. There is a few extra links for the crank cord in case something goes wrong. There is a small piece of cord that could be used to mount the light as well but i do not suggest that if you plan on cranking it. In Summary, I am happy with this purchase. i do wish the solar panel was weather sealed and the crank had a but better implementation so that it did not require solid wall mounting to function. I bought one for myself and one for someone who lives in a blackout prone area and she loves it as well. One star removed for the crank cable. TLDR: fantastic buy, but be mindful of the crank cord, looks can be deceiving.
