The Tale of Peter Rabbit

Two year old son enjoys this book. I got it for Easter of course. It is a short read with two lines per page and about ten pages long. He loves the sneezing part lol and now fake sneezes all the time. The ending is odd and abrupt but it doesnt bother my son at all. The pictures are cute also and slightly odd. It is about Peter Rabbits shenanigans while Mrs Rabbit is out for the day. One page doesnt even have Peter Rabbit in the picture when you think it should/would. But it doesnt take away from the story just a few quirks of the book. My son enjoys it and thats all that matters. We purchased the board book and its a nice size, sturdy pages and the text is a medium font and easy to read.

Wonderfully read and enunciated. Brought back memories from almost 50 years ago when I enjoyed this story and its timeless illustrations as a child.

Very cute book, so nostalgic. It’s on the small side which I wanted but some people might not like. It made a really cute addition to the decorations for my son’s birthday party and it will be a cute book to have out in his room as well.

This is a beautifully illustrated and well written book. I loved Peter Rabbit as a little girl when my mom read it to me. Beatrix Potter has stood the test of time. You could read it to a small child, and she/he would still enjoy it. I Loved revisiting this book. A treasured childhood memory.

I bought this for my daughter’s third birthday. I think these books are often bought as a special gift and inevitably end up just living on a shelf, which is a shame. She absolutely loves small books and this one is just the right size for her little hands. I took the dust jacket off as it’s a bit fiddly and likely to just get squashed. The illustrations are absolutely beautiful. The language is definitely of its time but there is no harm in children hearing unfamiliar words and the story is clear. This is a current favourite in our household and she asks for it as a bedtime story every day, enjoying it more and more as it becomes a familiar tale. I don’t think we’ll end up with the whole set but I will definitely buy more of these beautiful and well-known little books.

What a sweet experience to read it with your kid... The fact that it was first published in 1902 and still children's find it amusing... My kid read it in a go and not left it whole day... This is collectable...
