This poor little pump lasted me almost 2 years off grid I used it to pump myself fresh water when I needed to drink it did his job phenomenally I even found replacement gaskets O-rings rather for it and it kept working wonderfully

I took my low quality well water that stinks of eggs and has a taste of tangy copper Jennie’s and the water I got in the clean bottle had none of the bad tasting traits or the bad smells that makes me order spring water and have a arrowhead cooler with 5gallon bottles of water so I can drink good water and the cost of even filtered water from Walmart with the bottle is $11.50 and $6.50 if you bring in the empty bottle you used so not bad but totally not necessary and I would drink water this filtered from a stream or if I was camping and just had a water hole to filter out if I would trust this filter and drink the water. A must have if you wanna be ready for any water issues. I don’t live in NC but if I did I’d want to have one of these filters to fill bottles of water for my family but now I just have it to carry with a life straw cause I can quickly fill my camel bak 3L bladder and my 40oz stainless steel bottle non insulated Incase I need to boil water, melt snow, or cook some fish head soup. Whatever I have to cook or boil I can in my water bottle in a pinch till I get a mess kit that’s metal and I can fry in the top part of a army like mess kit or just get some cast iron pans and a Dutch oven but I am trying to build my survival gear only what I need and the most usable stuff I can get so I don’t have to carry multiple things that do the same thing if I can keep my bags light as possible that’s what I wanna do

I like the compact size, and simple mechanics

good little item that is easy to use and store but couldnt find anywhere where to buy replacement filters. Getting replacement filters for any purifier is a must for me because I dont know when the filter needs to be replaced so I would need to change out filters atleast bi-annually, so if you plan on needing spare filters because of heavy use I would purchase a purifier from a company that also sells the filter and replacement parts, but if your only needing something for the occasional use then this would be a good purchase for the price.

The pump is good but if your going to pump for a while and fill a few liters at a time, make sure you have a firm platform to use. The pump is a bit tight so you need a little bit of muscle to keep filling the bottles up. Don't rely on the compass. It doesn't work It not even pointing in the right direction.
