I used these in my dogs outside water bowl to prevent algae growth. Works like a charm. Algae usually grows within a day or two. With one of these in the bowl can go a month with no noticeable growth!!

Not a lot to say, these are slip joint couplers for half inch copper pipe. Which means that there is no stop in the center of the coupler. It allows you to slide the coupler over the pipe all the way to the end, put your peace in place and then slide it back over I marked a half inch on the copper pipe with a sharpie and only slid the coupler back up to the half inch mark. I read a few reviews that complained because there’s no stop in the middle of the coupler. it’s not supposed to have a stop on this particular coupler. I was working with different kinds of half-inch copper pipe and it fit on all of them.

This was sold as 1.25” i.d. which is what I need. It actually says 1 1/4” on the label in the photos. This is 1.5” o.d. and 1.35-1.40” i.d. That makes it worthless to me and I’ll be returning it. Edit: Still worthless to me. But, yes, I get that what it meant was that the side of this connector is meant to go over a pipe that is, itself 1.25” i.d. The page on Amazon says this is a commonly returned item. I expect a plumber knows this is a coupling meant to go over 1.25” copper pipe (which makes this 1 and 3/8” i.d.). An accurate description that doesn’t rely on prior knowledge would help people find what they are looking for without the frustration and cost of unnecessary deliveries and returns.

Good slip couplings which is hard to find in offline retailers.

These couplings solved a water pipe repair issue where I was unable to bend the pipe to get on couplings. I simply cut a piece of pipe to fit exact, placed these couplings all the way onto the pipe and then slid them over the joints.when put in place. Worked better than expected. Perfect for 3/4" copper pipe.

Couldn't find these couplers (without a stop) in stock at any of the box, hardware or plumbing supply stores in Guelph. Used to be a very common item, but now with PEX installations being so common, I guess copper tubing use is fading.... So glad to find it on Amazon. Shipped from Calgary, but arrived in 2 days, free shipping with Prime. Should have given up searching locally earlier. And the price was less than I could have found locally even if they were in stock.

I fixed my plumbing without any problems. Quality is normal, size was as described.

How come this simple and time/money saving item can't be found in our canadian stores anymore (Home depot, Canadian tire, Rona-Lowes, BMR) ? It did the job perfectly. I am very satisfied.
