Get this for the colder seasons. I’ve been purposefully smelt a second time and asked what I’m wearing on multiple occasions, which has been a great feeling for someone who always feels they under-spray—“I can smell you up the hall!”, which tells me the sillage is definitely parfum level quality. Does fill up rooms quite nicely, and not been told it’s too overpowering—especially after dry-down, as it settles lovely. Lovely and strong, longevity is user dependant yet still great for a quick spritz. Very warm scent, almost candle like. Sweet but not your typical sweet, it’s very moody but with a light edge. Not overwhelming at all, but of course be mindful of how much you spray. Paired with other warm scents, it adds a deliciously deep layering. It’s instantly a favourite of mine!

I've used Joop for over thirty years in it's original form, and this version in the last month. One thing that stands this aftershave out from many, is the following morning you and your clothes still have a faint but still active scent from the previous day. None apart from Koruros come close to this long duration active scent, though Joop does outlast Koruros, but I love both. A night out, you've shaved dressed up, and say twenty minutes before you leave you apply Joop to your face, neck etc, I can promise a time scale say 6pm to 2am, on a night out, you won't have to reapply mid evening as it's wearing off, this carrys on leaving you smelling fresh with very little loss in overall strength. The smell, unlike the light pink coloured version, the original, this has a more woody, musk added fragrance, and it's quite strong, after shaving it offers that slight sting where it's closing the pores in the skin and leaves you feeling fresh and clean. The bottle and spray top are of great quality, with a very cool bottle shape design, and it's box, again you feel like you've brought a premium product costing close to £100, not £32 for the 120 ml volume as when I purchased it. Plus prepare for complaints, not cheesy like you seen on social media, where ladies follow you to your car lol, this is a tried and tested scent which has lasted the test of time, and will out last all the 'popular scents of the mement' you see on social. Then disappears for a new brand. Joop will be your signature scent people will associate with you, honestly I've yet to find anyone who doesn't like this or the original, with either you simply can't go wrong!
