Exactly what I hoped for.
If you ever worked the old school training sticks then this is for you. Like the old school sticks but more dense and responsive. Great way to work combinations with a coach without heavy impact for either of you.

Too dense
I wanted to beat the kids with these. Not like that but for training, you know… Anyway they were a little to dense and hard for that.

Good adjunct to pads
I train muay thai and recently started using hayabusa sticks, mostly to give my elbows a break from holding muay thai pads. Sticks work great for focus and accuracy, plus defense. Very nice product, made well. They will hold up
