You get what you see with this. Some people reviewed that the instructions were hard to follow. I DID have to cipher through them but, the experiments themselves were great and my son had fun while learning. That's really all that matters.

Nothing super exciting but my 10 year old likes to do the experiments and can do most of them by herself. It's a fun excuse to make a mess.

Instructions are clear

My grandson is ecstatic about this science kit! He found the experiments to be both educational and exciting! I am quite pleased with this purchase and would highly recommend it for any child!

plenty of experiments

I want to LOVE this. It is a great idea. Unfortunately they use some Japanese words to describe some of the materials and it’s an exercise in frustration. Second problem is the very first experiment we did (indestructible bubbles) was a colossal failure. Didn’t work even a little bit. Even went and watched the YouTube video. We’ve done 2 more that worked just fine! I like that there are SO many ideas, hoping the 1 out 3 failing isn’t a trend. Bought for my 3 & 5 year olds. 3 year old isn’t super interested throughout the entirety of the experiment, 5 year old loves it.

This kit was disappointing. I was surprised at the number of items we were expected to have (that aren't normal household items), and the instructions weren't clear. It's obviously not written by a native English speaker, and there are even some duplicate activities in the guide (with different pictures, like they planned a different experiment but forgot to change the instructions.) Instructions are difficult to understand at times. They're more expensive, but do yourself a favor and go with National Geographic science experiment kits.

My 5 year old niece loves experiments, mostly unsanctioned, under the cabinet, out of the fridge mischief, but still, experiments! Ordered this kit to start teaching some real science and I’m sure she’ll love it. That is once she plays with the other Cool looking gifts with the enticing graphic design and packaging attractive to a child! I’m not so shallow as to return because of this as I’ve seen the contents and feel confident it will serve our needs. But as my big Christmas gift, I’ll be shelving until her birthday a few months later and replace with a gift I know she’ll appreciate upon first glance. And by the way, this doesn’t mean it’ll be a doll or stuffy, most of her gifts are STEM related, just designed and presented more attractively.

Bought this for 6 year old grandson -- I was so surprised when it arrived. It was impressive. I'm sure he will love it when he gets it for Christmas. It was full of equipment and also quite a few ingredients to use doing the experiments. There were safety glasses -- definitely a great buy if you have a young scientists in your midst!!

lots of experiments and fun to learn so many things. Some of the powders are a bit dangerous and need to be used with children with caution. There are some experiments that require materials that are not included in the package and could not be done due to lack of materials.
