Victron Energy Autotransformer 120/240V AC

You can tell this is a quality product. I started with the 100 amp but returned for the 32 amp version for my application so I was able to test both. Both worked great and created clean power to split phase 230-240v from my 110v single phase 300 watt inverter. There is a hum at idle and under load, this is to be expected from a transformer. Since there is a power draw at idle, I wound-up adding a 120v breaker between the inverter and the transformer to minimize parasitic power draw. Buy this if you are trying to tie your single phase 110-120v inverter to your split phase 240v house system...just make sure you use the proper wire!

These are great to pair up with cheap European 240v-only inverters to get a neutral and convert to US split phase. The 100a model can pass that much current through for 240v-only loads, and the transformer itself is superior at leg balancing compared to inverters with a built-in transformer. If you know what you're doing, this is a way more cost effective and resilient way of getting US split phase without having to pay a fortune for an all-in-one split phase inverter. Build quality is top notch, which is to be expected from Victron. I'm sure this transformer will outlive multiple inverters.

Great . Works as it should turns me 120v into 240v

Best brand in the business. It’s smaller and heavier than expected but I’m duplicating a 120 leg so I can run my 240v well off a small solar system. Wish I bought this sooner.

Does as intended. 120v ac15amp wall became 240v ac. so far powered constant 3500watts @240v safely from standard 14awg 600v house wire. better input I'm sure will result in full output described in description. unfortunately that's my limit for testing right now.
