Bought to add names to our scriptures and it worked perfectly. Would be good for you to trial on different materials before going for your final product because there was a difference in the way that the pin connected on a sinner leather compared to a thicker leather, but very pleased.

Only used twice so far but it's going well on paper and leather. Much sturdier than the cheaper all-gray foil pens. Got the calligraphy tips for it too.

I loved that almost everything needed was in the kit. The only thing that became a problem when it arrived was that it requires a USB port near it. Fortunately, I watched a video where the person used a portable phone charger to power theirs. That made this tool extremely convenient.

I only just started using this the other night and I've barely used it a grand total of 2 hours. Initially it worked really nicely, transferring the foil really well. Then using it today it initially worked, then as I was changing the tip, I noticed the end of the tool where you screw the cap on smoking. I do not know if this is normal, however, right afterwards the tip was getting hot but nowhere near hot enough to consistently transfer my foil to paper, when it was working just before. I'm honestly disappointed given that it's a great size to use and easy to hold and work with.

This is a fun little tool, I use it to put titles on hand bound books. Takes some getting used to, and requires a steady hand

This tool is a great option for hobbyists who don't have the space for a hot foil stamping machine. It works great for leather, and I like that it runs off usb - with a power bank you can work anywhere and don't have to run a long cord that will pull on your work. For more professional lettering, considering getting a stencil set, tracing out your words/letters on a piece of cardboard, and using that to guide the pen as you apply the foil to your material.

This is the best hot foil pen that I have ever purchased. It comes with 6 different foil colors and four interchangeable screw-on points: thick, medium, thin, and ultra-thin. Also, you can buy specialized points separately, like thick and thin calligraphy points. Best of all, it heats up in about 10 seconds, and gets much hotter than battery-operated pens. DO NOT TOUCH the point, because it gets hot enough to burn the skin.

This product arrived within a reasonable amount of time, and it works for my purposes, but I'm a bit disappointed by the instructions (lack of detail--how long to let heat up?) and the fact that it only included 2 nibs, rather than the 4 that were promised. I would have also liked it to come with a stand, so I wouldn't need to worry about the hot tip burning my surfaces while it's heating up, but that's not a deal-breaker.

I like freehand foiling. for larger areas patience is needed it won't produce a smooth printed look.
