Great Replacement
The connector for my sensor was damaged and as an added precaution I opted to replace the sensor itself while I was in there. So far it has worked wonderfully. My truck has not missed a beat!

Dorman CrankShaft Position Sensor
I had to come back to this Feedback and revise it from when I first made it. I purchased this Dorman CrankShaft position Sensor to replace the one in my 2000 Mercury Marquis which was 20 years old at the time. The Mercury Marquis had less then 34K original miles on it. I got the code PO 320 on the dash and found that one of the causes according to my OBDII scanner was a defective Crankshaft Position Sensor or faulty wiring. Didn't see faulty wiring so I came to Amazon and ordered a New Dorman 917-781 Engine Crankshaft Position Sensor to replace the original Ford Sensor and the car started running normal once again. In less then a year around 11 months the Dorman Sensor Failed so I purchased another Dorman on Amazon. Put it in the car and this one also failed in about 6 months. At this point I am disgusted with this Dorman Crankshaft Sensor because it failed a 3rd time now. Just purchased my last Dorman Sensor back on August 26th 2021. Well since I need to replace it again I decided yesterday to buy a Genuine Motorcraft (Ford) Crankcase Position Sensor on Amazon this time around. I lost any faith I had on this Dorman Product. I should have the Morotcraft Part tomorrow. I felt after 3 Dorman Sensors going bad in less then 2 years I don't want to take another chance with a Dorman Crankcase Position Sensor again for my 2000 Mercury Marquis that I rarely drive that much anyway. I just don't want to not be able to depend on the car if driving it a long distance from home and that is how I feel driving it with a Dorman Crankshaft Sensor in it today.
