Bought this with two applications in mind: Attaching thumb drives and using a cheap-o endoscope with my Asus Zenpad 8 S. The cable seems well enough made, no complaints with the fit and finish. Works like a charm, demonstrating high transfer rates, with my USB 3.0 thumb drive. However, the endoscope fails to work. The tablet will recognize the scope is plugged in, open the app, then no longer see the scope. Not 100% sure this is the fault of the cable, but the scope woks on my phone. Despite this, I would still recommend this cable.

I purchased this cable 3 times to figure out the quirks of this product. It works perfectly with specific ports on certain devices, but not with all ports on all devices. In the attached picture, it works with the right-side USB-C port, giving gigabit-per-second performance, but it doesn't work with the left USB-C port. I threw away my first purchase, thinking it was defective, when it failed to connect to one of my gadgets. I repurchased my second unit of this product only to find that the symptoms were the same. My second unit of this product worked perfectly with my Acer laptop's right-side USB-C port, but failed miserably with the left-side USB-C port. I purchased my 3rd unit of this product and found that it consistently failed to connect to the left side of my Acer laptop but worked perfectly on the right side. There are no other short, 90-degree OTG cables that support gigabit-per-second speeds. So, this is what we are stuck with.

This has, I am sure, saved my USB key from certain death :) ... I have a security key I need to have plugged in nearly all the time I use my work laptop, and this short dongle give me the flexibility I need to keep it plugged in without risking bumping and breaking it or the USBC port. Excellent construction and functionality -- glad I purchased!

Very handy cable to have for all of your older USB type A SSD devices. Works as advertised. The USB Type A is def on its way out but during the interim, this $10 adapter will allow you to make the USB Type A to Type C transition as transparent as possible.

Amazing product, came in very quick, i used it as a adapter for my ender 3 V3 SE 3d printer because it has USB C not USB 3.0 like my creality camera and it worked

I purchased this OTG cable in February ‘17 and it’s still going strong connecting my phone to a Audioquest Firefly Red and Cobalt USB DAC. I like the fact the connection coming out of the phone is a right angle as it puts far less pressure on the socket. I was thinking of picking up a spare just in case but to be honest I don’t think I need one. This is a quality little cable that I would and have recommended.
