Good medical-use product. Recommend to buy.
I recommend considering this one. It rides above the boney protrusions of the femur bones. This holster-style belt works well, binding tightly enough to compress my golf ball-size hematoma; compliments of a student doctor and a discount surgery. My spare spleen for pooling blood. Thus, this belt is a life saver. The belt is of a special, sturdy plastic webbing with enough fabric woven into it to allow Velcro fastener use. I bought a Medium for my 36" hips and 32" waist. It fits perfect. It's a set and forget belt. Currently, Amazon says it is returnable. The webbing ventilates. It has no discernable stretch or give. The webbing reminds me of sturdy lawn chair straps. It has one waist adjustment closure. They did a nice job. The bottom two straps are integral to applying critical, 3-direction tension to pressure a compression pad into the crook of the leg-groin. Those adjustable straps fit jock-strap style and are comfortable. Personally, I could wear this thing 24/7, and I shall buy extras to accommodate laundering. Kind of pricey, but it is but worth it. It works for me. I wear it over undergarments. My package included a second pair of Velcro'd pads labeled as "Gift". Overall, I say that this one is a perfect match for the purpose intended. I would say that one is best advised to avoid any hint of stretchy elastic belts, and to avoid the nonadjustable, g-string style when deciding to make a purchase. This truss seems sturdy enough for a duty belt for inside of the pants appendix carry of a medium frame affectation. That all goes for times when a flimsy outer garment can't support dangling iron (as with hospital scrubs). Issues in use arise from it complicating quick access to garmented plumbing (best to rehearse), and it can move downward on the body if loose, as for instance when the underlaying rump tissue deflates with exercise. For me, sitting does not budge it. Otherwise it stays put all day.

Very pleased, this one worked for me!
This belt did not appeal to me and I only got it because my wife sent it to me. I am glad she did, because in comparison to the other three belts I tried, this is the one that works and gave me comfortable support and relief. However their pads, like the others, were also too stiff and uncomfortable, so I used a rolled up footie (short sock) for pushing in the inguinal hernia area and I could get back to skiing in comfort. It wears like brief style underwear, so I can pull it on and off and not have to reconnect straps or reset fittings each time. Since it is smaller than my underwear, it does not touch my skin directly. This is best for comfort and keeping it fresh so I don’t have to wash it often. Also the strap is off to the side on my butt cheek and not giving me a wedgie. At first sight, I questioned the quality and smaller amount of the Velcro, but it has held strong and stayed 100% in place. And it is not real obvious under my dress pants or jeans. Overall it has worked great for me and I highly recommend it. And I have been refreshed on the truth to the old adage that you cannot judge a book by its cover. I hope everyone finds comfort and relief. Hernias are no fun! Thanks and the best to you! - DanVin

Good product
I at 67 have contended with a right side inguinal hernia since 43. It appeared for no particular reason. I have never had any intention of surgery. I am an inventor have used all manner of belts, spandex shorts with half a coconut shell from a costume bikini, sliced off 1/2" on flat side. Filled it with small round dollar store push on light. Placed all in a ped sock and placed dome side in over hernia inside of compression shape wear. Plus a variety of belts, some good, some meh. There isn't much effective info or products geared to women with this affliction. When I first purchased this belt I only used one of the good sized for me, velcro backed inserts, not the belt. However due to the ongoing experimental nature of dealing with my situation I finally used the belt with one insert. To my surprise this belt far exceeded my expectations. I use a medium. The Velcro is strong, the construction well stitched. It lies flat. The straps are not too long. The only thing is to wear looser trousers or leggings under long tunics or long shirts to avoid the outline of straps around bum cheeks. This provides support and keeping hernia pushed in and stationary. The most effective belt I have acquired thus far. I wear it over Thin slip shorts and yoga shorts. I just purchased another khaki model. The medium is smaller feeling then I remembered. The belt will stretch over time but remains useable. The insert can be repositioned as necessary. I could add more padding of my devising as necessary. First belt is over 1.5 yrs old. Has held up marvelously. If a hernia requires attention this is the best most affective belt I have come across in the 24 yes of learning about and contending with my hernia situation. I will be trying the single, right side black model in near future. This is a well made product and fairly priced. Good luck if you have hernias as your particular thorn.

Doesn't fit right according to their sizing chart
It does fit under clothing and isn't bulky (unless you add the extra pads that come with it). However, it is a bit scratchy if worn under clothing over underwear. It also BARELY fits according to their measurements. The band that goes around the hips fit with only about 1 inch of material overlapped when closed, and it felt tight. This garment of course is designed to fit snugly but too tight it can cause pain. If you want to be able to wear it over clothing the size chart is not helpful or you might want to go up a size (or two?) Be forewarned that they don't allow returns if it doesn't fit or for any reason even if you didn't try it on. Would try the next size up but am worried the straps that wrap under the pelvis might be too long, so am gonna go with a company that allows returns!
