All about the 2-pack
The value for money is great with the two-pack especially if you can catch them on sale. The quality filter functionality and simplicity of the design is why I like this system. The filter speed is slower than the 5-inch and takes a few hours to get a good amount of filtered water but the 7-inch filter lasts about twice as long. Functionality, filtration capacity and ease of use are huge pluses imo, and I like that I can use the 5 or 7-inch depending on needs.

I have been using these for about 3 years now for well water. They are great.i do prefilter the watrr 1st through a votton ball filter system to extend filter life.90 % of the liquid i dring passes through this filter.the water has a nice crispness to it.it will do about 3 gal over night easily. Defective filters and refusal to provide refund
UPDATE 04/01/2025 - Supervisor Josh reached out and finally provided full refund via PayPal on 03/28/2025. Overall, a very disappointing experience but I’m glad I got my money back. I ordered G3 7" filters directly from the company's website, followed installation instructions, and water did not flow through more than a few drops. LITERALLY a few drops. Contacted customer support for assistance (spoke with Tyler) who recommended to try the installation instructions again using warm water. Tried again with same result. Called customer support several times only to have the automated message loop to the beginning without ever connecting to a customer service representative. After attempting phone contact numerous times, I finally reconnected with Tyler who informed me that filters were indeed defective and a refund would be issued, as receiving a replacement would likely net the same results. No refund received after several weeks, and made numerous attempts to contact customer support, to include numerous emails outlining the issue as well as using the customer support form on the website. Never received a response from any method I used. Sent a total of 11 emails and 4 customer support requests via the website and still no response. Contacted customer support via phone on 2 occasions afterward and spoke with Genie who informed me the refund would occur in 3 to 5 business days. Even received an email saying the refund had occurred, even though nothing was received back to the card I used for the purchase. Called again and Genie informed me that I was to receive store credit for another ProOne product from the web store, which I have no use for. I asked for her supervisor and she stated his name was 'Josh' and she attempted to patch me through to him but I only got his voice mail. Left a detailed message along with my order number and contact info and did not receive a response. Resent one of my emails requesting status of my refund and still no response. Called again today and left a message again for the supervisor (Josh Eskins?). Incredibly frustrated with the lack of customer support and the fact that I paid $102 for defective products that I can't use without getting a response or refund. Very dissappointed with ProOne considering I enjoyed using their products until this experience. Hopefully you won't have to go through the same experience.

Honest Review from Actual Customer, Been using in all kinds of situations.
I have been buying these gravity fed filters for years, including the "off grid" ones that are currently unavailable. I have literally scooped lake water into my system using this brands filters and the water came out crystal clear, no smell. Water does not run through them slowly IF they are clean. I clean them and my buckets (I made my own system) monthly. Easy to install, The larger filters 7'-9' literally last a year. I used the water for drinking, cooking, for my pets. Always great water. With all the things they filter out including fluoride and pharmaceuticals, I'm happy to pay a higher price. These work GREAT! Worth every penny.

This is the series 3
I've been using the proper system for over ten years. I hope that it does everything that they say that it does. Where I live, we have forever chemicals and our drinking water. And our city has failed its water test. Several times. This is the latest version of their filter. As the two series had a blue base and this one has the light tan. Supposed to be even better. I wish I could get my water tested. But I can't afford to do it after its beeg run through the filter. I still think it's a better choice than most of the bottled water. That's out there because now, in most of the brands, there's microplastic on top of everything else.

Comparable to Berkey Black Filters, but better
I was out of patience with Berkey. Their filters are constantly out of stock. I decided to try the ProOne filters, since it was time to replace the two filters in my Big Berkey. The ProOne removes fluoride, which is a pro or con depending on the individual. Pros: these filters are available; Berkey filters are always out of stock. The ProOne has NSF certification, which is the industry standard for water filter testing; Berkey does not, but claims it uses a third party lab for testing. ProOne filters are easier to install, less expensive, and seem sturdier than the Berkey black filters. There is no priming, no red dye test, and no leakage. I always worried the repeated filling and removal for cleaning might damage the Berkey filters, which seem fragile, but the Pro-1 filter seems more solidly attached to the base. Cons: The Pro1 filter is good for 1,200 gallons, so it’s life as advertised is half the advertised life of a Berkey filter. Of course, each filter is good for 1,400 gallons, so my system will filter a total of 2,800 gallons. That is a lot of water, and I’d replace the Berkey filters well before their advertised life since I’d worry about damage over time. Your choice. I like both filters, but at least the ProOne filters are available.
