MoldexM6506 Hearing Protector

Mine did snap broken after a couple months of use due to opening it too wide when taking it off, but Moldex replaced it quickly and was sympathetic. They have great customer service. They assured me they will work on formulation of the plastic material. I recommend it otherwise. There are other models they offer too like the Rock Band 6500 which is slightly lower in decibels at 22 vs 25.

Really liked the fit and noise level cancellation, BUT they shaped in half after a week of use.. I have ordered two more sets only because I just ordered and received extra ear plugs for this... ????

I've been using a Howard Leight orange banded Hearing protection for years, I wanted another and decided to try the Moldex instead because the plugs are softer and I think more comfortable.Indeed, the moldex is more comfortable. That is, until the junk band breaks. 5 years on the Howard Leight with no issues. Moldex couldn't make it 5 days.The upside to this is that I found that the Moldex plugs will work on my Howard Leight band. That gives the best of each-- the better softer moldex plugs on the superior Howard Leight band.Still, $9 for this piece of junk? Complete rip off.

Quiets noise but does not make sound disappear.

I have used the Moldex hearing protectors for years with good results. They fit snug enough to work well but are not uncomfortable. The nylon string retainer is very handy. they can hang comfortably when you don't need protection. I have never had a pair break. They seem well engineered, the ear buds are angled correctly and they are removable and replaceable. Other reviewers have been disappointed with breakage. I have never had a pair break. Just don't bend them too far.

These seemed to work well enough. I used them 2-4 times a month for 10 minutes at a time. I had them probably 1 year. I kept them inside the ziplock bag they arrived in. I removed them from my head this last time and they snapped in half. Really disappointing. I’m going to find another manufacturer.
