Maxonar [4Ft] Thunderbolt 4 Cable, 240W Thunderbolt Cable 40Gbps Sync 8K/5K@60Hz Display and for Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3, USB4, and USB-C Devices

My previous experience with a Maxonar product was with an HDMI-to-display port adapter. It worked great for several years. I decided to try them again since I needed a durable, quality USB-C cable that delivers the flexibility to connect to different USB-C devices, charge at high rates, and communicate using the latest USB4 or Thunderbolt 4 standards. I have a 2020 Mac Mini, 2024 Macbook Air, Google Pixel, iPhone, and iPad. I use a Thunderbolt 4 dock and a monitor with a USB-C port that supports power delivery and DisplayPort Alt Mode. I have not had any trouble interconnecting any of those devices in several configurations. I've reached the maximum charge for the devices that require charging. It's a thick cable that feels well-built and so far has handled everyday use. While I lack testing equipment to verify full compatibility with USB4 and Thunderbolt 4 standards, I have not encountered any behavior suggesting incompatibility that would impact my use cases. My data transfer speeds are at the expected speeds for the respective hardware. While it can charge all my phones and tablets to up to 100W, I cannot charge my phones with a case on because the connector housing is too large to fit through a phone case's port opening. But this cable wasn't intended for phones. It was made for computers, hard drives, connecting monitors, etc. It does all that very well so far. I like the packaging and presentation. It's nicely packed in a well-presented box instead of loose in a thin zip-lock-type bag. The connectors were protected with plastic covers. I recommend this to anyone who needs a well-built USB-C cable that supports USB4 and Thunderbolt 4 but doesn't want to break the bank.

I'm pleasantly surprised. Last time I looked for Thunderbolt 4 cables, I couldn't find anything longer than 3 feet. Online articles even said that that the spec couldn't extend further than that. Here we are a year or so later and I find this 10 ft cable with good reviews so I took a chance. Turns out, it works great and does exactly what I wanted... gets my laptop farther away from my docking station so I don't have to hear the fan noise constantly. I rant this cable through a wall and now the laptop is in a (ventilated) closet and my office is silent. I even plugged this into a USB cable tester and it showed to be the highest quality USB cable possible. All the data connections are present so this cable does exactly what it claims to.

These cables are pretty high quality. Support super high speed charging and high data transfer. Packaged like premium cables. Highly recommend!

Amazing product and half of the cost as compared to market value.

I bought 2 of the 1.6ft cables to connect a couple of external SSDs to my Macbook Pro. The cables are well built and sturdy, that's great however, these maybe a little too stiff. Im not concerned about the cable itself but more concerned about the connection point stress on both ends when positioning whatever device you have connected if you need to bend the cable for placement. This 1.6ft cable does not like agreesive bends. The reinforced covering at the connection points do not bend so couple that with the stiff braided covering and you have a heavy duty soultion for your usb-c connectivity needs. The actual usb-c connection is solid, but I am having issues with the cable seating properly in one of Samsung T7 Shield SSD drives.

I got this Maxonar 1ft Thunderbolt 4 cable to clean up my desk setup, and it does exactly what I need. The build is sturdy but a little stiff, which makes it tricky to bend in tighter spaces. Also, while it claims full 40Gbps, I didn’t benchmark it—but it’s been fast enough for my use with a dock and external drives. If you need a reliable, short TB4 or USB4 cable for a clean setup, this one's a great pick. Just make sure you don’t need much flexibility in the cable routing.

These cables made my computer super sluggish when I used them to connect a second monitor: my computer would stop responding for a few seconds and my pointer would get slow, then fast, etc. I bought these cables a few years back and used them to connect an external monitor I had just bought; when I experienced the glitches I immediately blamed the monitor for the poor perfomance and put the cables away (ended up connecting the monitor via an HDMI adapter). However, I recently got a new external monitor, which I first connected using these Maxonar cables only to experience THE EXACT SAME ISSUES I had with my previous external monitor. To troubleshoot the issue, I tried the generic USB-C cable that came with the new monitor and all issues dissapeared (so it's not my PC nor any of the monitors the ones causing the issues). Next time I'll look for "Intel Certified" Thunderbolt cables, not just "Thunderbolt" cables.

I rarely review products, but it is so hard to find good quality cables these days and this one has held up great. I bought this cable back in April of 2022 and have had zero complaints. It has worked everytime I plugged it in and the cable wrapping has not fraied or deteriorated in any way.

Packaging is excellent, comes with little clips which make it look good, as seen in the picture. 2m cable works excellently on my Razer Core X. I see no change in fps compared to my original cable. So the cable is probably an active one. Functions perfectly, no random disconnects. I do see disconnects sometimes when moving the laptop around. But that happens with all cables ive used on my laptop, so not an issue with this cable. Cable feels sturdy, and the strain relief seems to work well, no fear of it getting damaged. Velcro cable tie that comes with it is a nice addition.

Excellent câble USB-C, le meilleur que j'ai utilisé jusqu'à présent. La vitesse de charge et de transfert est inégalée, la construction est très solide et très esthétique. J'ai entendu dire que ce n'était pas un câble réellement certifié thunderbolt 4 par Intel, cependant toutes les performances sont équivalentes et le prix est beaucoup plus abordable. Je recommande sans hésiter !
