Cissp Official (Isc)2 Practice Tests

Question content seems to be of very high quality. In that I mean you will need to know the concepts behind the CBK material and how they should be applied in the real world, not just the technical. Another big plus in my opinion, the book comes with an access code (both print and Kindle versions) to utilize the same questions via an online test bank that keeps track of your scores, where you need to improve, etc. This is not the Sybex 7th test bank either, it is a totally new test engine/site with all of the questions contained in the book available as well as the two simulated exams (another highly suggested technique to gauge readiness and endurance). I haven't taken the exam yet but based on my studies these questions seem to be ideal for preparing for it as indicated in the product description.

There are many different providers for practice tests for the CISSP. I wanted to ensure I was getting questions close to what is being given on the actual exaam. I am pleased with the quality and difficulty of the questions. Many of them challenge your knowledge of the subject matter to ensure that you know the content. Don't skimp on your preparation. Get this and test yourself repeatedly until you have consistently passing grades.

I did the questions in this book using answer sheets I made myself. I think the questions covered the material quite well. I agree with others that the online quiz engine was cumbersome and I did not enjoy using it. I used both this book and the cccure test engine, and passed my exam this month.

Do not try to take the domain tests in lieu of the longer practice tests. I was starting to run out of time for studying and tried that tactic. It was a bad idea because the domain tests are very, very detailed. The results were some morale / confidence killing low practice test scores. I had to stop the domain tests after chapter 5 because my morale/confidence was destroyed. Take a practice test, then drill down with domain tests, and then take another practice test. As far as CISSP test prep, this book is one of the cheapest ones available. It's worth it even if you don't use the online tests (I didn't). Big thumbs up to the earlier reviewers who mentioned that the practice questions are unique and not in the Sybex book.

The material in the book is great. The online test taking engine is not so great. The test engine does have the same questions as in the book. However, the test engine marked my correct answer as incorrect after the software showed I answered correctly. The engine also uses image elements that give the answer to the test taker before looking at the possible answers. As long as you take the test directly from the book, it's a great prep tool for the CISSP.

Buy this and go through it inside out multiple times. Understand why each answer is right and you'll pass the test. *NOTE.. ISC2 has recently announced they're moving change to CAT for the CISSP. They claim the content should be the same but the format, obviously, changes. The CISSP used to be an endurance test and this book trained for that with the two full length tests. Not sure what/how/etc. the change impacts the usefulness of this book.

I just passed the CISSP a couple weeks ago with relatively minimal Security experience (less than 2 years), and I believe a large part was due to this book. I used this book as a companion to the main Sybex study guide, and it helped me greatly in brushing up on what I missed or didn't pick up on and helped solidify what I tried to amass while reading that monster of a book. I would point out though that the exam is still pretty hard, and this book will only give you the core knowledge to pass. You still need to be a good test taker to pass the CISSP. But know these books cold!

I just got this based on many test reviews saying to combine this product and the tests that are also included with the 7th edition official book. I'll check in a couple days to see how well it measures up after I take the test. One thing that is important for any book, especially when studying for certification exams, is to look for errata. There is a lot of errata for this book (especially Chapter 3 it seems), which is why I'm giving 4 stars off the bat, and can be found on their official product page at Wiley if you scroll through and expand it.
