Very good at sharpening. Very easy to use. Sharpened a sun joe electric reel mower that was in bad shape. Works great again.

just could not get this to sharpen my mower blades. back lapping work better at sharpening my blades although back lapping is much more difficult to setup.

As long as you have basic knowledge of working with tools the adjustment needed with the lawnmower is easy

I got these for my husband, but he doesn’t know how to install it to the mower. He had some other guy do it.

This worked as intended and the adhesive worked fine.

Very easy to install and use. I applied the sandpaper and let it sit overnight (for adhesion), and no issues with it coming off. Only point to make is that, unlike their instructions, it’ll probably take more than a couple of minutes to sharpen the blades properly. Other than that, great and easy to use.

Not a huge fan of it - I thought it would be easier than breaking down the mower wheel and using a conventional kit with compound and such. Well, you know what they say about labor saving devices, right? Save five minutes to lose five hours. Now my old reel mower was old but loosening the cutting bar to slide this device in was time-consuming and not fun. I finally got the whole thing on, and then had a hell of a time getting it to stay there. I got it all set up correctly and the adhesive just peeled a huge chunk of the sandpaper away. Lovely. Rinse and repeat. Same damn experience. I could have dug up some epoxy like other reviewers tried, but by this time I was disgusted with the product. I WILL say that the section of the blade that WAS able to contact with the sandpaper got pretty sharp. But some is not all and pulling off a wheel, painting the blades with compound, and spinning the blades using a conventional sharpening kit turned out to be the quicker and more effective solution. I do not recommend this product in the least - why two stars? Again, the part of the system that DIDN'T fail resulted in pretty sharp edges. It just turned out to be more hassle than help.

Like other reviews said, it doesn't work with older reel mowers. Mine is a 1996 Great State. Had to take of bolts and a wheel to get the sharpener on. The fit was so tight the reel wouldn't rotate so no blades were sharpened. And the adhesive sandpaper didn't stay on either. I also tried epoxy and left it overnight but that didn't help. The fit was so tight rotating the blades by hand just a few mms took off the strip. I'm back to the old method but, in the end, it ends up taking less time than this one. If I buy another reel mover I'll try this product again, but my 26 yr old reel is still going strong.

Once attached to the mower this sharpened my reel mower blade by simply walking up & down the sidewalk by my home several times. I removed it adjusted the blade and the mower cut the grass cleanly.

Worst thing bought for a specifc purpose. Didn't even work for 30 seconds. Stuck with the rest of the pacage, good for garbage.

So disappointed ... when I took the backing off of the abrasive part it wasn't sticky enough to hold. All three were the same, couldn't even use the product.

Did a great job sharpening. But be careful to adjust the blade slowly too much ripped the sand paper right off.
