Excellent product that does for me what it’s designed to do.
Excellent product, for what it is and purports to be. I have a torn medial meniscus, patellar malalignment and osteoarthritis in my left knee. Before I got this brace, climbing and descending stairs was very painful and my knee felt very unstable just when I walked on flat ground. After about three weeks of wearing this brace at all times except when I sleep and shower, I can now walk and climb and descend stairs pain-free, so long as I’m wearing the brace. In fact, I’ve done a couple of 10-mile moderately difficult hikes wearing it, with no pain. And I can now ride a bike. It’s not a $500 Unloader Brace, so I don’t know that continuing to wear it is going to enable any of my conditions to heal. But it does provide some vertical support, and regular use of it for 3 weeks enabled me to return to my usual low impact activities. While I’m wearing it I no longer have pain or instability. I’m 67 and don’t do high impact activities anymore, so I don’t know whether it would enable me to do them. Sizing: Based on the size guide on Amazon, I bought a Medium. On my bare leg it fits perfectly, and comfortably. But it’s too small to enable me to put it on over jeans or any but the thinnest pants. So you may want to order up a size.

Disappointed it was too small.
Item seemed to be well made and probably would be very helpful. My therapist picked this particular one. Unfortunately it didn't come any larger that an XXL. Therefore, I had to order an item very similar but a different brand.

My knee is destroyed and I can walk
This bionic knee takes the pressure off and helps you walk. My right knee is shredded meniscus, ACL, PCL All gone. Can't afford surgery can barely walk downstairs. I've tried at least 10 different braces trying to avoid the three to $400 price tag for the god brace. This one I found and it actually helps. I can walk downstairs. It must be tight and it will stretch the more you use it. Measure your leg especially around the knees just as the instructions say before you order it and be sure it is tightly fitting. After a few days of use it will be very snug and it would be a little bit stiff to move but you'll be able to walk and that's what counts

Supportive
I think when it comes to reviews, they will vary with every individual injury, recovery and reason for getting the braces. Having said that, I would rate them 3 stars based on my own experience. I had been a runner for many years (now in my early 40’s), and suffered incredibly painful meniscus tears to my right knee, to the point I couldn’t walk properly for months and endured months of physical therapy. Then my left knee tore. I had never experienced a more hopeless time in my life than the time I couldn’t run. It was my livelihood and I was determined to return to running, despite the negativity I received. I accepted that I may only be able to do a light jog, and I was content with that. After 2 painful years, I discovered I could lightly jog, but only in very short durations. It has been my goal to find some kind of support that will help me to achieve longer distances without having to resort to walking due to pain or fear of injuring again. I invested in so many different products none of which suited me for what I needed them for. I came across these braces and read that others were wearing them for other various sports, which gave me hope. I invested in two (one for each knee), and they weren’t cheap, but if they were helpful in returning to doing what I love, it would be worth it. My experience is this: my first time wearing them, I was able to sustain much longer distances on the treadmill without breaking down and walking, though they rubbed quite raw in the calf area (as others have said), and they did slide down a bit despite being fastened appropriately. I didn’t give up. I then wore longer leggings next time to prevent the calf rubbing, though they still slid down. My sizing is appropriate too btw, just sharing that movement of this type might not be recommended for these braces. More than anything else, they are heavy to wear, especially when running, and ultimately it causes me a great deal of pain and I took a break from them. I somehow need to find adequate support without the added weight pulling me down. I would definitely say that they’d be great (and likely better suited) for recovery and day to day walking. Sadly, I’m not sure I can resume wearing these when jogging due to the pain their weight created in my knees, but I will likely try again after I heal up a bit more. They also retain an insane amount of sweat, so you’ll want to hand wash them often.

Absolutely Love It!
I absolutely love this knee brace! My right knee likes to dislocate and strain my mcl, this knee brace does a perfect job of keeping my patella in place and providing support for my knee. My knee is so bad now that it stays sore after extensive exercise aka riding and competing for me. When I wear this brace while riding there is no soreness after and this brace holds up fantastically to riding and weather! I’ve ridden in it in the summer heat, torrential down pours, freezing cold, etc. Never has this knee brace let me down and I’ve had it nearly a year! The metal side pieces are perfect for providing stability and support and I love this design for the Velcro. It stays out of the way of my saddle and stirrup leathers. I truly couldn’t have found a better knee brace, highly recommend!

Using sizing instructions was straightforward. Size close to upper limit, but selected. Slightly concerned a little small but ok in the end, needing straps to support the velcro. Used for skiing as prev ACL repair, and functioned well

Great fit - snug without being constrictive. Provides good support, handles perspiration well (doesn’t get loose). A tad expensive but I’d say it’s money well spent.

30 years of using a metal brace, tried this to see if it would be as good and stop some of the muscle discomfort. Makes you feel like Steve Austin!
