I mulched my roses fairly early this year as I was away for the first month of spring and my roses have never grown better. I truly believe this mulch is a game changer. It’s the only thing I did differently this year other than mulching a bit early sorry to me it seems very effective. A decent size bag, I have five roses and I still have some spare. It doesn’t smell and it spreads nicely leaving a nice looking finish to my pots. I also mulched my Acers and they have also thrived so far this year. So I love this stuff, it was definitely worth the buy.

The mulch seems good, but it arrived wet, with a strong odour like urine or ammonia. It attracted so many flies as I was putting it down and they started to burrow in the mulch. I’ve only ever dealt with dry mulch before, so I don’t know if this was supposed to be wet, there’s nothing in the description or on the packet. Because it was wet, it sprinkled on in little clumps or clusters, not like the video. I’m hoping from the other reviews, that this product will be okay, especially as I’ve ordered a second bag before opening the first bag. Im considering returning the 2nd bag, it’s not what I expected.

Couldn't stand the smell which lasted about a week

This has done wonders for our roses. It’s worth watching the product video because it does everything they say. Granted it’s a bit wiffy when you first open and apply it, but the odour fast disappears.

Stinks a bit but says it will wear off after rain and being put down (as most types do tbh) reminds me of my younger days working at the local stables 😂...but..there are no animal by products used. It is finely chopped (more so than scrultch which I also use) so looks better in ornamental beds. Very easy to use . My main complaint is that it's overpriced..not good if you have a larger garden or allotment etc... but if you only want a good quality smaller amount I would recommend as it looks nester when put down.

Excellent for my shrubs. They have really perked up after using this product. Please be advised to wear rubber gloves whilst handling it. It stinks 😂
