Hot Shot’s Secret Shift Restore 16 fl oz – Treats 10 Quarts – Automatic Transmission Additive, Reduces Rough Shifting, Slipping and Heat

Used this in my Silverado pickup with 4L60E transmission. Bought with 122,000 miles, changed fluid and filter every 40,000 miles, put this in at 203,000 miles and the trans. actually shifts quicker and firmer now with 232,000 miles than it did at 122,000 miles.

Great stuff. Did a drain a fill on my Honda and added the required amount, smoother transmission shifts,big time! I also replaced the filter as well. I also use some of their other products, outstanding company and products.

I’m So So So happy! I put 5 ounces of shift restore in my F1 transmission, and within 30 miles, all of my shifts were smooth and the grinding between shifts are completely gone. Shifting perfect! The car drives like a brand new vehicle. I was hesitant to try this product, so I reached out to the manufacture and told them that I had a Ferrari with an F1 transmission (basically a manual gearbox with a paddle shift mechanism). It had sat for awhile, and the clutch plates had developed an issue, and I wanted to make sure that this product would not cause any damage to the brass synchros or any other internals of the transmission. I received a quick reply from Logan who reassured me that Shift Restore would have no issues with my application. RESULTS: I couldn’t be happier! The previous owner sold me a lemon with transmission full of antifreeze. It had been sitting in the gearbox for who knows how long (due to failed heat exchanger). The shift restore freed up the rusty clutch plates and got everything working smoothly again. When I would wind up the car and shift at high RPM's the clutch would give me a little trouble shifting gears, but now all the shifts are crisp and smooth. I am truly impressed and very grateful. I bought this for my 2007 Honda CR-V, it has a lot of transmission issues that came with the car. It’s loud and always slipping in second gear. I did 3 prior fluid flushes, but it didn’t work. It was easy to put in. I noticed a difference right away. The noise went down a lot and it stopped the shuddering. It seemed to lubricate all the gears with no leakage. The only thing bad I could say is that it didn’t last long. I’ve had it in for about 5,000 miles now and the slipping is back. I know it’s most likely my car, but who is going to be changing their transmission fluid every time this comes back. I think it would definitely work on newer cars without any issues.

I put this product in my turbo 400 transmission in a 68 Camaro big block. Wow.. it shifts lots smoother and performed much better!

The products at Walmart are universally scams. I have tried enough of them. This one was used by working truck drivers and I planned to use it on a recently-acquired diesel towing rig. Owners of older gasoline automobiles have used this product successfully on vehicles decades older than mine. I was surprised by a shifting problem on my wife's Subaru Outback. The transmission of 1997 had been rebuilt at about 200,000 miles but survived to 450,000 miles through diligent changes to the ATF. Modern synthetic ATF is amazing, but the recent slippage at heavy throttle when the transmission downshifts from 4th to 3rd could be due to wear or to a sticky actuator. This is a "Hail Mary" to avoid another rebuild on a vehicle going toward 500,000 miles. Since this product may need 500 miles to work, I will update this with the results.

Used this product for my 68RFE transmission and a lot of ppl say it helped there shifting and performance but I could not tell a difference with mine. I did a fresh drain, filled with this hot shot, and fresh transmission oil and filters. Went for a drive and 100 miles later still can’t tell a difference. But I’m hoping this product does clean the transmission components and helps extend the life of the transmission, guess I’ll see on the next transmission drain.

We own a Ford Fusion V6 3.0L AWD, 2010. First, the PTU failed in November 2022. A week later, the left axle seal failed and in March the right axle seal fail despite we have regiliously changing transmission fluid every 50,000 km. On google, it would seem Ford PTU is notoriously prone to failure. After fixing all the leaks at a reputable shop, I noticed shift up 2/3 is really rough especially when it is cold outside (-5C or below). Reading on amazon, I thought I would give this product a try. Added about 10 Oz and I thought it might take a while, but saw the effect right away. The shift is much smoother and the "kick up" is gone. Drove another 50 km and same positive effect. Very happy and will update after a few months of driving. So far, so good.

Added just 200ml to my transmission and it fixed the problem where my auto transmission was struggling to change from 1st to 2nd.

This made a noticeable difference in the shift quality of an 09M transmission in a VW Tiguan which is very similar to an 09G, in the golf, etc. My transmission has 235k km on it. Surely with some worn and gummed up valves. I think this freed some up.... Because shifts are smoother, less flaring and much quicker/firmer. I can't say it will fix your transmission but it definitely made mine shift better.
