48CWR82 CompR 8" Subwoofer, DVC, 2-ohm

Let’s start off with I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Limited, I bought it off the lot as is, I never noticed untill a couple of days with it that it had no real thump in the sound, it has real good highs and mids but I turned the bass up all I could hear was crackling in the rear, found out it had the Infinity Premium Sound System in it and the subwoofer in the rear panel was blown, I will be honest getting to it was a tedious choir, anyways after tons of research I chose the Kicker 8” because it’s power handling matches that of the Infinity amp(sub output is 150 watts on a 550 amp) now my ride sounds all around fantastic Hint of Advice, some of these factory subs holes are larger due to its bracket, most are 8’” woofers, get a wide spacer or all you will hear after gerry rigging it is rattling

The performance of this speaker will remind you why Kicker is so respected in for sub woofer. We installed it in my son's Honda to complement his upgraded head unit and door speakers. It's not even broken in yet and we were grinning ear to ear from the incredible sound we were getting. Head unit: ATOTO S8 with amplifier module. Door speakers: 4 Pioneer TS-A1670F. Great replacement speaker. Had a blown speaker in a 2010 Toyota Sienna. Put the kicker and boom, the bass is back with a vengeance. Much bigger magnet driver on kicker.

I keep it turned down but it hits hard. Has issues hitting real low notes but it's an 8in so thats expected.

Speaker is an excellent replacement for my blown factory speaker! But…. None of the holes in the kicker line up with my 2011 Hyundai Sonata Limited factory originanal holes so I was forced to zip tie it in place. Still works fantastic though!
