Light weight, easy to put together, w poo rks great

Excellent Product. I just got this for the occasional bag or two of mulch or topsoil, and maybe for a camping trip if needed. This is an excellent product and even bad reviews can be helpful. For example there is a little too much between the bolts and holes at the angled hitch connection. I simply took a little aluminum sheeting and some tin snips, and made a half round shim that I inserted into the hold prior to inserting the bolt. It took a little extra time, but my cargo carrier will have a more solid feel and will not sag. My two reasons for getting this product was the angled bar that lifts the carrier, and the fact that it is aluminum. I am not likely to carry more than 80 lbs with it anyway, so 300 lbs is more than sufficient. My hitch receiver is below the bumper, so having a raised carrier is a must. One minor gripe is that the product info on Amazon states that this can be used by SUVs, but the product itself has a label that states that it is only for off road ATV use. My guess is that it is for liability purposes, and because the product does not have lights or reflectors. Rest assured, if it can handle off road use, it will be fine for most other purposes.

I am a 63 year old woman. It took me one hour to put this together. Might have been less time had I not poured myself a glass of wine first. My advice: throw away the cheap tools that they include in the box. All you need is a small crescent wrench and a pair of pliers...makes the job so much easier! Also, I am impressed with the quality of this carrier. It's definitely heavy duty.

Excellent product. It has an aluminum frame with a steel center support that is 2" OD steel tube powder coated gray. Assembly was easy. Put the 2 U shaped aluminum pieces on first that hold the two halves together and get the bolts started. Then put the 4 bolts that attach the two sides to the steel tube and and start the nuts on the bolts. Then tighten up the bolts in the u channel and finally tighten the bolts attaching it to the steel center support. It only weighs about 20 to 22 lbs. The U channel pieces do have slightly sharp edges so if you have a file or some sand paper I filed the edges smooth before assembly. It comes with the 5/8 hitch pin. The only reasons for the 4 stars is that the description describes an "anti-wobble" but there is nothing to stop wobbling. I would give 4 1/2 stars because for the money this is excellent. Aluminum so no rusting. No powder coated steel frame that will ultimately chip, scratch and rust. If the description didn't mention anti-wobble technology It would be 5 stars. My application was a little custom. It's on a dune buggy/sand rail. I also added the 1/4" eye bolts around perimeter. I'm well aware that doing so voids any kind of warranty and probably lowers it's maximum capacity by some small percentage. Not a concern for me. Just need to be able to hold a couple gas cans, maybe a lunch type cooler or something.

Saw all the good reviews but after seeing that the welding didn't cover an angle which is instead secured by bolts, which means all the weight would be on the bolts, I'm wondering how much weight this can really handle. Just disappointed in the design. Will update if this holds up over time but the design isn't worth the price point.

It fits perfectly behind my car and with the riser I don’t have to worry about it dragging on the ground when entering or exiting a parking lot.

Love it. Put on a four wheeler and does great.

Perfect for additional gear on my Atv

Fits my quad great, but when they drill out the drainage holes they fall into the frame making it a nice rattle. I drilled them out and used water pressure to evacuate bits.

Just what I wanted

Lightweight and as described. Took it on a trip and yet to use it. Would be 5* if it folded. Currently nothingsimilar that I could find that did fold. Will modify it in the future.
