I have used a few different toothbrushes for my lg breed pups over the years. This time I read all the reviews and decided to try this brand since it was recognized by the dental community for getting the job done esp w people with arthritis. You will not be disappointed it’s worth the extra money. The handle is a good design, the ease of use and soft bristles really help me get their teeth really clean. My dogs don’t mind getting their teeth brushed daily. I use the CET enzymatic toothpaste, mint flavor, and the pups love it. It cost more for the actual toothbrush but it’s well worth it. My vet said I don’t have to brush their teeth…. It’s not necessary, but I do it every morning and reward them w a cookie which they also love !!

I am currently trialing this brush for my toy breed and my small breed dog. While the design is clever and the small brush head is the perfect size for both of them, I’ve had some mixed results during the first few uses. 🐶🐾 ✅ The Pros • VOHC Seal of Approval: The main reason I’m testing this toothbrush is the Veterinary Oral Health Council (VOHC) seal. It’s reassuring to know it’s professionally vetted for plaque and tartar control. 🩺 • Perfect Size for Tiny Mouths: Finding a brush that fits a toy breed is tough! The small-head side is actually petite enough to reach their back molars without them gagging. • Smart Packaging: I really appreciate the packaging it came in. I’ve actually kept it to use for hygienically transporting the toothbrush when we travel, which is a nice bonus. ✈️🪥 • The 45° Angle: The angled bristles automatically hug the gum line, making the process much faster in small mouths where you have zero room to maneuver. ❌ The Cons • Bleeding Gums & Handle Leverage: I was surprised to see my dog’s gums bleed, especially since the bristles are much softer than the ones I currently use. ⚠️ I suspect the long handle creates a "lever effect"—it makes it very easy to accidentally apply too much pressure. If you have a tiny dog, you have to be incredibly careful with your grip! • Excessive Price: This is a very expensive manual toothbrush. While I appreciate the VOHC backing, the price feels high, especially since I’m still figuring out how to use it safely. 💸 • Material Choice: Given the high price point, I really wish the toothbrush was made of more eco-friendly materials. It feels like a missed opportunity for a premium product to still be made of standard plastics. 🌍🌱 Early Verdict: ⚖️ The design is great for reaching tight spots, but there is a definite learning curve. Be very gentle with the long handle! Given the price, the plastic materials, and the sensitivity issue, I’m still on the fence about whether this toothbrush is worth the long-term investment.

I FINALLY found a versatile toothbrush that works wonders for large dogs, as well as smaller dogs. I use both the big end and the small end for my 85lb Olde English Bulldogge. The small end is perfect for the pushed back upper teeth and the big end is perfect for most of the front teeth and to get all side teeth. My dog Gizmo despised getting his teeth brushed, but I can't begin to explain just HOW MUCH this toothbrush has helped him get over that fear of getting his teeth done. This is a 5 STAR product. Also, the Vicbac C.e.t. Toothpaste for Dog & Cat 70 G Vanila Mint Flavor is a God send for a toothpaste that not only works, but that Gizmo LOVES the minty taste. Both products are PHENOMENAL. And boy have we experienced a lot of other toothbrushes and toothpaste and NOTHING comes close to this toothbrush and the toothpaste I mentioned. This toothbrush is WAY WORTH the money. I wouldn't hesitate to try it out. We are currently ordering a new t.brush (these pics are of the t.brush that we ordered at the beginning of December. So, these 3 pictures are what the t.brush looks like after 3 months of use: STILL sturdy, with no bristles breaking and STILL works. We just keep up with the standard suggestion of replacing the brush after 3 months. Don't hesitate on this purchase!!! Your dog is WORTH it and DESERVES only the best. Great product! Very nice soft bristles. Just don't put it back in into the tube for storage, mine got moldy.
