This unit replaced an older Suntouch floor controller that stopped working. Reused the existing temperature sensor that was already installed in the flooring. Just had to reconnect the wires, program the settings and it works perfectly. The display is a lot nicer than the old unit.

recently replaced my old SunTouch control panel with the SunTouch Command Touchscreen Programmable Thermostat, and I was amazed at how quickly my heated floors were up and running again. Installing the new thermostat was a breeze. The instructions were clear, and within minutes, I had the new unit installed and ready to go. Smart with lots of options. Easy to use

Simple install, 4 power wires (2 line, 2 load) and 2 temperature sensor wires. I killed the power, removed the 15+ year old Suntouch LS120 thermostat and had this new upgraded version installed in 10 minutes. Turned the breaker back on and the new touch screen is beautiful, easy to read, simple to program and a major improvement over the far more rudimentary LS120 that was annoying to program. I have Flextherm floors at another location and this Suntouch model worked perfectly on those floors as well. It’s the same wiring process between the Suntouch and Flextherm- 2 load, 2 line and the 2 sensor wires I’m not sure why the Suntouch sensor wires are so fine and such a small gauge, that was the only annoying part of the installation, it was like wiring in frog’s hair. I wound folded the sensor wires and doubled them up when I screwed them in place. I connected the heavier line and load wires first before the sensor wires so I didn’t tear the fine sensor wires out of the back of the new thermostat. The photos show the this new Suntouch alone and with the old LS120. The other photo is the back of the old LS120 thermostat which is almost identical to the new back panel, the wires locations are just a bit different. Just read the wire location labels and you’re all set. Just be sure to turn the power off. If you’re not comfortable doing this sort of work, hire a trained pro. The only other minor issue I encountered with the first new Suntouch thermostat I bought from Amazon was that when it arrived, the box was mangled and wires ends were bent up like they had been previously connected. It was NOT new. I returned it to Amazon, asked for a exact replacement and that replacement arrived the next day in perfectly new condition. I’ll see how long this new Suntouch thermostats lasts. Otherwise, this is a great product! Hope that helps!

This replaced a new OJ Microline control panel that was installed just over a year ago with a new flooring project. The OJ Microline panel failed after one year with a false ground-fault alarm. After replacing the circuit breaker and checking the ground connection to no avail, I replace the control with the SunTouch. No problem, system working and heating properly now. Plus, the SunTouch is much easier and more logical to program. SunTouch is the better choice!
