Jasmine and Rose Bath Soaps 5.3oz Each

Excellent soap. I mean I remember my mother who passed away at 83 years she would tell when she was small her grandmother during 1920's or 30's my great grandmother wouldn't know how to read and write so she would save the individual wrapper of Mysore Sandlewood Soap which used to be in oval shape under her pillow and would send the maid to get exactly the same soap and would match the letters, words & design and colors everything. I mentiond here this because the soap is ever since there in the market and my grandma used it and my Mom used it until she passed away in September 2023 and I who uses this on and off that because when I go India only I could get it. I never know it is available in Amazon until very recently. So it looks like it is there in the market for more than 100 years or little less. It has little strong sandalwood smell but that keeps me & my family members smell with Sandalwood for the whole day. Some won't like the sandalwood smell but I & my husband likes it.

Very smooth, aroma and gentle feeling when applied to the body. Have used it many times.

Very nice soaps. All 3 soaps are very good and fragrant. Sandal is still the best while rose and Jasmine are good for people who do not prefer strong perfume. Great value too.

Soaps are individually wrapped still, but this feels really sus when the box’s seal has been broken…

My father loves these soaps. For a while, he would buy just the sandalwood soap, as did I ... I love the smell, and often bought dozens of bars at a time, to stock up in the U.S. Then he discovered, while shopping in India, that there was a mixed pack with jasmine and rose as well ... happy dad! I was very happy to find these on Amazon, after my father was no longer able to buy them in India. He usually goes to a shop in Kolkata, run by the Karnataka government store, to buy these ... but they closed their Kolkata location. (My understanding is that certain handicrafts, such as these soaps, are sold in designated shops run by the state governments where those products are traditionally made. This is supposed to improve quality control and eliminate haggling or bribery or cheating, and my Kolkata-based relatives say that's the case. I do all my shopping in those stores for those reasons.) Anyway, I found this exact soap on the manufacturer's site (google "karnataka soaps and detergents limited sandal jasmine rose" to find the Karnataka government site) and emailed them, asking if it would be possible to buy the soaps online or at a Kolkata location. I never heard back, and my dad and I forgot about the attempt. Father's Day rolled around back in the U.S. and I remembered this soap. Decided to check Amazon- and boom, they're here! True, they're $7.99, which is 3x the price back in India (165 rupees for all three, or, $2.60). But, you know, availability and convenience ... and a happy dad. In the U.S., $2.60 per bar isn't outrageous, although it doesn't feel like a deal or a steal. My favorite is still the sandalwood. It's been a while since I used the jasmine or the rose (I only ordered one pack, for my dad), so I don't remember them too well. But this green and red package is so evocative, and the smell of the sandalwood is so lovely and strong ... I have literally bought dozens and dozens of these soaps over the years; it's my favorite soap of all time. And now it's on Amazon Prime! I guess I'm dinging one star for the price, which I'm comparing to what it would be in India. Is that unfair? Oh well. - AM SIL

Good product

they are so value for money. they last long, they do not melt (for lack of better word) fast like some gel based soaps do. They smell strong initially then fizzle out with time which is fine. They produce a lot of lather though these aren't gel based.
