You have to be deaf not to hear this whistle. I will keep one in my car, and one around my neck when I am shopping at any box store, Target, or large shopping in Tucson. I am giving these to my friends.Border Patrol and ICE are out of hand in AZ. Every U.S. Citizen should carry a whistle, so as to alert their neighbors. the whistles were shipped quickly, and arrived securely packed. Thank you.

I live in an area where there are coyotes. They never came on my property until recently, probably because I feed the rest of the wildlife (squirrels, chipmunks, possums, raccoons, rabbits and mallard ducks) that visit my yard daily. We had a couple of occasions when a coyote showed up and grabbed one of my little buddies right in front of me, as I watched from my picture window! As if that weren’t bad enough, a couple of times, while filling the bird feeders in the morning, I turned around and a coyote was at the other end of the yard! I know they’re usually more afraid of people than we are of them, but I don’t want to run into the first brave one and have to find out how strong they are! So, I got this whistle, which is very loud and shrill. The next time a coyote came into the yard looking for a meal, I blew the whistle really hard—he hasn’t been back since, so I think I got my money’s worth.

Does what it needs to do. Well made. I just keep this on my keyring. However if I was a ref or some who used this regularly. I would like a higher quality made item, I am kinda picky, its well made and serves its pourpose as a keyring whistle that would probably out last my life.

I am pleased with how loud the whistle is, and that is the most important thing. I ordered two of them, and they were shipped in a padded envelope. Apparently they got underneath something heavy, because one of them got damaged in transit. The metal was bent, and one corner had separated. The separated corner left a sharp point that looked like it could slice open a finger. Since the item's appearance was of no concern to me, I took a pair of pliers and bent the metal back to near-normal. That eliminated the sharp point and left me with a working whistle. The silver lining in this cloud is that now my whistle looks ugly enough that nobody else will ever mistake for their own. Fortunately, the other whistle arrived undamaged.
