OnStage TM08B Microphone Flange Mount, Black

I guess 0 stars is not an option! I ordered 6 of these to go with the mic booms. These are not threaded/sized properly. The first one I screwed to the On-Stage MSA9505 Posi-Lok Telescoping Microphone Mini-Boom wouldn't tighten...just spun...then it happened with another...etc. I ended up drilling a hole in all of them and putting a bolt through the two pieces to hold them together tight. Poor manufacturing and or outsourcing. It's like the flange mount is a hair smaller than it should be. Coming from the same company, I would expect them to fit well...cost me time and money...frustrating

I ordered this thinking that it could work for my microphone stand but it's way too small. It's definitely designed to mount on a wall or any surface permanently.

I gave it three stars because it does not come with screws. Seems like a minor thing for them to supply. I deducted 1 star for not including them and another one for my effort to go out and find screws that match. For now I am using drywall screws that are bit a great fit, bit good enough. The item is well made. It works with my On-Stage mike stand tops I purchased from Guitar City and with the On-Stage flexible neck I purchased on Amazon.

I ordered this item to be the base for a Atlas Sound GN-19E - Microphone gooseneck mount - ebony mic stand to use with my laptop DJ setup. Rather than mount it on a stationary object like a desk or table, I got a 1/4" sheet of fiberboard, some shiny aluminum contact paper and cut out a custom base. I covered it with the contact paper then drilled holes and used some 10/32 flush bolts with lock washers and nuts to keep the base securely attached to the fiberboard. It looks great and functions really well. Anywhere I take my Hercules DJ Console RMX board, I can just slide the fiberboard base under it and have a gooseneck mic stand which takes up virtually no desktop space.

Quality control issues... I use these in my work frequently, and within the last year about 33% of them are failing completely, the threaded section either pulls free from the base or sheers off...The little stamped flange on the underside is utterly inadequate for the leverage that a a mic extension, gooseneck or other wise can exert upon it. The idea is good, the shock mount is good, and the strength of the base is good, but the threaded rod needs a different attachment!!

Work like a charm

I have hundreds, some good, some not so good. This one seems well crafted. The threads (important) are well formed, making it easy to spin mic holders on and off. I'll add a few more to my arsenal, but I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 since I feel the price is a bit higher than what I've paid in the past for comparable products. But having said that; you can buy this product with confidence, it's good stuff from a very reputable manufacturer of stage accessories.

La pieza es bastante pequeña por lo que es necesario sujetarla a un contrapeso. Está elaborada en un muy buen material pero para un micrófono de condensador común requiere una base para que no se caiga, está base puede ser con un trozo de madera o metal y queda perfecto, además la base trae un juego de pijas para la instalación.
