Full disclosure: I did not get these for use on myself. I ordered them to cut mats out of an unruly long'haired cat's fur. Do they work well for this purpose? Oh, yes, very well indeed, and there is a greatly lessened risk of poking her with the manicure scissors I was using. These scissors have a fine sharp edge, and get the mats out with little trauma to either of us. I like them enough that I may have to order another for myself.

I would really say, if you want to spend some GOOD money on some high quality build, feel, and performance children's scissors, these are a good decision. My sons have been using my super sharp and pointy adult nail scissors, which has been scaring me. I bought these because their fingers are smaller and they do not need the point just yet, that's what keeps me employed with their lives. : - ) I can comfortably let them cut their fingernails and frayed skin. The build quality feels as if they will last forever, so the initial investment is a good cost benefit analysis.

These are great little scissors for my nails. I have petite hands so these work well for my fingers. But the best part is I don’t accidentally poke myself with the sharp point of the usual manicure scissors because it’s not sharp! They have a rounded end. I don’t mind having more than one pair if I need to cut a cuticle. But I never use them to clean my nails anyway. That’s what nail brushes are for with soapy water. Im so glad I took a chance on these!

I bought this pair of scissors last August to cut 4-year-old nails who some times comes on weekends. At the beginning the scissors worked amazing! Then, all of the sudden, they started falling apart! Considering that I have only used them occasionally it is very disappointing! Thank you!

The scissors work great, but they're very sharp and don't seem like safety scissors at all.
