Like many others, I have a car with wired Android Auto and use a wireless Android Auto unit that plugs into the car USB. But the car keeps the USB power on after the car is turned off and the Android Auto Wireless box continues to try and connect to the phone for several minutes. I got this switch so I could turn off the Android Auto Wireless without unplugging it. This product provided a great solution that is simple to use. Once it is plugged in, I just turn it on when I get in the car and turn it off when I get out. Android auto now works every time I start the car and disconnects when I get out.

I have an old iPad that I keep connected to my Mac using YAM Display. Sometimes it doesn't detect that I've connected the tablet, so I used to have to physically disconnect and reconnect it. With this switch, I only have to flip it off and back on, problem solved. It works flawlessly. I love it. An elegant tool for a more civilized time. I was so happy with it that I told a friend about it, and he ordered another set right away. He has a KVM switch that had the same problem and he used to have to get up and physically disconnect it every time. Not anymore, but the funny thing is that he didn't even know these switches existed. 25 years working on IT... Simple, effective, and well worth the small price. Highly recommend.

These little extension switches do the trick when you want to enable/disable USB devices connected to your computer. I’m using them to control MIDI controllers, and they’ve performed exactly as they should. This is exactly what I needed. Finally I can stop unplugging my webcam and simply switch it off! Takes USB-A connection in one side and provides the same out the other, with a physical rocker switch in between which I have confirmed completely disconnects whatever is plugged into it (which in my case is my webcam used for work).

I only needed one, but at $10 for a two pack it's still a good deal for the convenience it represents. The only criticism I have is that the font used on the switch is terrible , something like simple Helvetica would have been much better. I plugged it in and it worked great. It seems to pass the USB data without any interference. As a footnote, within minutes of installation I had to remove it, because my Android phone updated itself to Android 14 which breaks Android Auto Wireless functionality. So I'm back to using wired Android Auto. But not the fault of this switch which is great.

I love these for turning my wired mouse off when I put my computer to sleep. My cat can no longer wake it up in the middle of the night by playing with the mouse!!

I got these because I have a USB microphone and a USB webcam that I don't want to stay permanently connected due to potential security/privacy issues. In the past, I've been disconnecting and connecting the USB cables as needed, but this was not only getting very tedious to crawl under my desk, but it can also cause damage to the USB sockets when I'm connecting and removing cables so regularly! These USB extension cables with switches made perfect sense as a solution, and I can confirm they work great! However, the cables could have been better in some areas. The switch is pretty much in the middle of the cable, which is a bit of an annoyance in my opinion. I'd preferred for it to be as far onto the extender side as possible, because you want the switch to be as far away from your computer as possible so you don't need to reach! The switches don't reach my desk unfortunately, but I have managed to stick them onto the top of my computer so at least they're more accessible and you don't need to faff about with turning the usb socket multiple times to try and get it to fit. However, the plastic bottom of the switches are curved, which is extremely annoying because the sticky pads I attached to these don't work as well as they should. Only the ends of the switch button are stuck to my computer, because the middle bit is raised! It does still kind of stick to my computer, but it does move about a bit.... An annoyance. Overall, given the vast ease these have brought to my life, I can overlook the issues I've mentioned above and would highly recommend these!

Purchased this cable specifically for the switch function and also because it is rated for data (many are only for providing power). I use this cable to turn off USB power to an Avantree Bluetooth adapter. This adapter doesn't use Windows drivers and has no way for the user to force it to release the Bluetooth connection (such as when I want to switch my headset to my Android phone), The switch on this cable solves the problem and means that I don't have to keep unplugging the adapter from my computer every time

J'ai utilisé ce produit pour une utilisation bien spécifique permettant de mettre en route un routeur Netgear avec un interrupteur situé à environ 5 m du routeur. L'arrêt se fait en mode logiciel et la mise en route en plaçant le bouton sur marche. J'ai donc démonté l'interrupteur, percé deux trous à l'arrière de la coque pour souder les deux fils de l'interrupteur déporté. Remontage de la coque et l'interrupteur d'origine est laissé en position OFF. Parfait pour mon usage.
