After applying the ink to a shirt or similar. Do you need to do anything specific for getting the ink to dry? Does the ink need to be baked ?

I took a screen printing class in college. For the design on the shirt to dry, you just need heat. In class, we had a big rotating belt that dragged the shirt under a oven-like thing. I've seen DIY people on YouTube use blow driers, OR when the ink is completely dry (probably wanna wait a day to be safe or multiple hours) you can run a hot iron over it (not directly on the ink though, put something like an old thin rag over it or special paper). You can watch some YouTube videos on it. You gotta make sure the heat is hot enough! :D But it can work in these ways that I mentioned.

What size spline do I need to order with this?

The mesh is stapled on the screen so you don’t need spline.

will the transparency paper also work with laser printers? some transparency film is advertised to work in both inkjet and laser printers.

good to use, but this kit does not include photo emulsion, and the clear film does not clear enough. I buy a clear film. This is my first time trying screen print and after several time failed, I finally got what I need. I think with the low price. It does great work.

Legitimately exceeded expectations. Short of ink and vinyl/emulsion, this kit has everything needed to get started and keep going for quite a long time. Plenty of extra parts (spare silk sheets, squeegees & scrapers, even paddlepop sticks!) included. 50+ prints in and still doing a fine job.
