A little outdated but still good
A little outdated but the information inside is enough you can confidently begin to learn basic plant physiology. It's been a great tool for me as a hobby botanist.

In depth analysis for plant geeks!
Very useful and needed if you're in the field of botany or the likes(hort.). But if you're just taking a class for credits then rent for sure.

Amazon description misleading
Very disappointed in the original description of softbound in the title. That has been corrected. Still categorized as paperback; beware. I was expecting a paperback book and got a pile of paper. Too late to return it, it was needed for class. Maybe Amazon is getting so big they can't bother understanding and accurately describing what they are selling. Book itself is a quality textbook.

Excellent and very thorough textbook.
Thanks to the earlier customer reviews I purchased the hardbound copy. The content of the book is excellent and very thorough. I plan to use the book in preparation of my being certified as a Master Gardener.
