Easy to install in a home office, dorm room or any location where you want a dedicated, secure WiFi network with 1,200 sq. ft. coverage WiFi 6 Dual-Band AX1800 speed, coupled with MU-MIMO technology, supports 64 maximum # of devices Plug wired devices into the three 1 Gigabit Ethernet ports for maximum speed Simplified deployment using the included power adapter Setup, configure, and manage with the instant setup wizard Supports WPA, WPA2, and WPA3. Provides up to 3 SSIDs Review: Once you set it up its a very good access point - Requires setup via ethernet to configure as access point otherwise it will NOT work. Once config is doe however, the product works great with solid coverage and speed, at distance it autoswitches to 2.4ghz. It has 4 Ethernet ports which is why I bought it, sometimes having a switch and an AP can be too much clutter. Review: Powerful router on the budget - Powerful router and after warranty finish I will install openwrt and use that powerful soc

Needed a replacements Wireless Access Point to take the place of the aged 3Com Office Connect WAP that had work well for many years. The Netgear WAC104 seemed to offer all that I needed especially the 4 LAN point rather than the single one offered on the majority of WAP’s on the market today. This facility allowed me to remove another old piece of network gear, an AT 10/100 switch. The supplied documentation is all most worthless and at this point, if you have never worked with WAP’s before, I would suggest you look elsewhere. Ignoring the suggested way of accessing the AP, I identified the DHCP IP address allocated by the Router (BT HOMEHUB 5) and simple entered this address into the web browser of a PC connecter to the same network. The Netgear was identified immediately and login was simple. The settings menu is relatively straight forward to use and the Netgear WAP was integrated within my home network within minutes of logging into the device. The end results seem good. (Note that the WAP has only been up and running for 5 hours) The coverage throughout the house is solid and the transition form the wireless signal of the Netgear WAP to that of the BT Home Hub is seamless. All devices both in the 2.4GHz and the 5Ghz bands work well when connected to the Netgear WAC104. The devices that are connected to the LAN port also work well (BT YOUVIEW). All in all, it appears to be a solid piece of kit. The appearance of the unit might be a bit off putting to some people as it is quite a substantial size, the two aerials are quite chunky. However, as the item was placed in a small cupboard, this element of the design was not a problem. Time will tell to see if it will out live the 3Com Connect WAP
