This is a great replacement for the annoying Waterpik 'Spring' line (4mm OD/2.5mm ID). It slides tightly over the Waterpik's existing male barb fittings without the necessity of clamps. Note: If you can't get access to the Waterpik male nipple on the hand unit, like on the Fusion model, this line can be spliced to the Waterpik tubing with stainless tubing (Search: Uxcell 304 Stainless Steel Capillary Tube, OD 3mm x 0.3mm Wall Thick 250mm). The hose has some memory, but it's not a Length , bothersome spring like the OEM Waterpik hose. Additionally, you can make the hose longer so using it more convenient. A great find!

Good fit. Hard to find

I needed to replace the 20 year old hose on my automotive vacuum brake bleeder. It appeared to be 1/4 inch, but the hose had the dimensions 4X8 printed on it. The fittings needed to be a shrink fit as in the photo, so 1/4" I.D. wasn't going to cut it with 5mm hose barbs. This 4 X 6 hose is flexible, but not so much as the typical stuff sold in hardware stores. It feels retally robust, but I was concerned that the 2mm thinner wall than on my original hose might not give enough to fit these 5mm hose barbs - even with heat. But heat is needed for a shrink fit, and you can see the hose, warmed using a hair dryer, had enough give to allow the barbs to be forced in. Once cooled, I'd have to cut those fittings out to replace them- they're that tight. Just a heads-up...don't overdo the heat, because that'll soften the hose too much to hold it's shape when trying to force in a fitting. Overall, I'd say I got a tremendous deal on a large quantity of quality hose. Happy camper here.
