Good product but difficult to apply
From a distance it looks great on my black appliances. Its not very easy to do and it bubbles a lot. You really have to go slow. Wish it was offered in a wider role. Sticks to itself easily then gets stretched when you try to pull apart. I am going to buy again to do it over.

shiney smooth very pretty!
This product was beautifully shiney & stuck easily to my shelf to protect it. I wished it was a tad more rose-gold colored, but it matches well with my bathroom, and it will be behind closed doors 99% of the time, so only I will know how cool it is

perfect!

Looks great, tedious to install.
This vinyl looks great, but as others have mentioned, it’s very difficult to install. Any crease shows up, and the tiniest imperfection on the surface you’re applying it to will show up. Even with a heat gun, this showed the tiniest spots. Sand your surface, check it, and just when you think it’s smooth, check it again!

Not for small crafts
I bought this to do small crafts with and it seems to not stick to anything. Maybe my projects are to small. I think it more for larger items and it is beautiful. So I'll use it for something later. Also it is a very nice quality.

It does not stick to paper.
Let's start with the positives. The finish is absolutely gorgeous and shiny. It is very nice and glamorous, and quite durable. Not too thin, and certainly not too thick. However, it does not stick. I purchased this once before in either 2023 or 2024. I stashed the contact paper away until I was finally ready to do my project with it. It ended up not being enough, so I was forced to purchase one more role which arrived today. I put my project aside and did not really pay attention to it much until today, and I am heartbroken to what I have witnessed. After just a few weeks, it already started lifting off of the project. I am truly saddened. I waited so long to do this. The worst part is that I am only attaching it to paper, and it cannot even stick to paper. Please see my photos. If I had to recommend this contact paper for anything, I would say to use it for paper art that you are only going to use one time. For anything else such as DIY furniture (which is what it is being promoted for) please do not. I am returning this.

Looks luxe, great for the price and easy to use.
I used it to cover two ikea nightstands and matching dresser. It looks like glamour now, very elegant. Definitely does not look like an ikea item anymore! It can be tricky, so you may want to cut a small piece if you can to see how it functions. To cut, I don't recommend an xacto knife at all. I used utility scissors. Since its got a handy grid on the back, you can draw off the lines and cut carefully. It cuts easily Measure twice and remember to orient it properly when you're sticking it on. I found it useful to measure it out, cut and when ready to apply lightly taped down two areas on one side to align it. Then started in one corner and pressed out the air from there. It laid right down for the most part and I just pulled slowly and it fell into place. And you can reposition it but just be careful not to tear it lifting it up but it's pretty sturdy as long as you don't make a deep fold or bend in it. Took a few small trials but it was worth it, super big déco boost and amazing value.

Peel and STICK!!! It does NOT Stick!!
I am an Artist, Designer,, Painter and Handywoman. I can literally make ANYTHING work!! I was determined to make this work for me in spite of all the reviews bc I moved into a rental with offensive cabinets and they needed just a little touch of gold with the other contact paper I bought. The other contact paper worked like a dream (use a heat gun to apply your contact paper, thank me later). This gold however…..OMG!! I have tried EVERYTHING! I prepped the surface a few different ways. I degreased (twice), I used rubbing alcohol to make sure there was NOTHING on the surface that would prevent adhesion, I used the heat gun (which worked amazing on the other, thicker paper), I reduced the curves, I talked to it nicely, I cussed it out….I apologized! I did the dance, said the words….I used contact cement, tacky glue……I even put a layer of the thicker paper down to stick the gold on TOP of that!!!! But no. It doesn’t stick. Well, some of it may stick, then a few days later decide not to. It’s maddening! I’m going to Gorilla Spray adhesive and drinking…maybe it will finally stick and if it doesn’t, maybe I won’t care! 😩
