HeatMax Commercial Food Warmer Pizza Pastry Hot Countertop Display Case 14x14x20

We have a food vending business where we attend several festival events each year. See photo for example of unit in action. I always study the equipment that other vendors are using to see where I might consider making improvements with my setup. We decided to buy this unit and have been very pleased with it's performance. The unit comes with 3 shelves; each with holes for heat distribution as shown in the picture. There is also a humidifying container in the bottom that can be filled with water to keep your product from drying out. We sell churros - a cinnamon bread pastry. We fill aluminum trays with churros and place them on the shelves. The unit has way more heat than we need. We typically set the dial at 3 and that is plenty of heat to keep our churros warm. We operate out of a 10x10 commercial food vending tent and the only time we need to adjust the heat setting to 4 or 5 is when it is really cold outside. The outside top of the unit gets warm as well, which we use to our advantage to display product samples. I like the fact that this unit is 120V. The unit was very well packaged and was shipped with expanding foam inside the box to protect it. It could probably have survived a drop from the roof and been just fine. The care taken in packing the unit for shipping was impressive. Once the internal bulb burns out I will probably replace with an LED. The 3 improvements I would make are 1) to add vertical LED light strips in the front corners so that all shelves are equally lit, and 2) add a wedge option to tilt trays a few degrees to make it easier for customers to view the contents on each shelf, and 3) add a removable tray in the bottom of the unit to make cleaning easier. Other than that I highly recommend these HeatMax food warmers. I would buy again from HeatMax without any hesitation. Unit is lightweight. Construction is very good quality.

Works great as a food warmer. We use it to keep our pizza hot, can hold six 12" boxes at once and there's still room on the sides for other small food boxes. The temp gauge is not very accurate — and the dial is not consistent for changing the temp, which is very VERY aggravating — these things need work. But the unit works well overall and let me tell you, if you ever have an issue, Mr. Rodriguez and his company will give you the best customer service you could ever ask for! +++++

We use this to keep our waffle product warm at farmers market, festivals, and private events. So far it's working beautifully. It's about a fourth the cost of commercial models, and I think it looks better too. We do not need to use the humidifier tray for our product. It heats well, keeps things warm, and cleans easily. It's also very lightweight which is great since we move it around constantly.

Exceeded my expectations! Light weight and reasonable price masks make it's superior functionality! Replaces a larger glass constructed (not plexiglass like this one) pizza warmer whose temperature dial (a thermostat) died, and the replacement of this one part would have cost this entire Heatmax unit . Can fit up to six 16 inch pizzas kept in their boxes. We use it to keep pizzas warm for our birthday party guests at our family entertainment center and so need to switch it on and off a lot. It has a separate on off switch - handy! - and this beats having to dial the thermostat all the time (which was why the previous died in the first place!). Heats up 3x faster than previous unit, just need to check in on handy built in thermometer. Only thing it needs is water pan, to keep things humidified. Which I pilfered off my old unit and fits perfectly over the heating element underneath bottom tray. Perfect.

When we first got and and started to use it, it would not maintain a constant heat. It was like the thermostat was faulty and kept shutting down the heating element. There is a light bulb inside the unit and right behind the temp setting. Thought maybe the heat from the bulb was giving the thermostat an inaccurate temp. We unscrewed this bulb and it now works great and maintains a contact temp. Bad design on this bulb location it appears. There is another bulb in the unit and away from the temp dial that we leave screwed in and on.

This item is listed as UL listed but it is not! This was a waste of my money I wish I knew before I bought it. Because it is not UL listed, I was told by the Health Inspector I cannot use it for my business. Nowhere on the product does it have the UL label, but the listing says it is UL listed that's why I bought it. So misleading, DO NOT BUY IT if you have a commercial business you will get written up for it by the Health Department.

This family makes only heat boxes for 20 years now. and if you know two things about engineering you will see that this thing is very very well thougted. Just received it in a foam filled box (best packaging ever) turn it on and it reached 143f before me turning it off (it can go above that easily). This thing is EVENLY heated throug out the box one remark, lamps should be in the front, in a guarded container, and of course all glass is plexi glass, high quality as eveyrhintg on the box.

We have ordered 3 of these units. The very first one works great. The next two we ordered kept blowing are breaker. No matter what outlet we tried the breaker would blow. We tried the third one at our house before taking it to the concession stand and it blew our breaker at home. UPDATE: The company has been so helpful in helping us work out why this is happening. We are still working on it and we hope we will have an answer soon as to why this is happening. UPDATE: New unit is working perfectly!
